I only looked at the per36 before I checked the spoiler.

Got it right!

Can keep my Rockets supporter card.

Interesting they are that close, though, if that's the point.

Ausar fouls a little bit more, I think thats been the main difference going as far as last season.

I was going to write to score one big point for nature, but as they were likely nurtured alike on the basketball court, that's not entirely fair. However, I'm going to go not very far out on a limb and say that if you had two fraternal twins who were raised the way with basketball, let's call hypothetically call them Ace and Cooper, that they would not be so similar as players.

I went with Amen as Player 1 per 36 just because I thought he plays a "bigger" position on average (more blocks) + he wouldn't be able to sustain his recent high minutes with 4.5 fouls per 36, as this foul rate reserved for low-usage / role players off the bench.

But dude, it's a cool comparison, it would be interesting to compare them in the of the season/next year etc, so many of their stats are so close.

Considering how much skill is still required to be an NBA player, yes, even if the guys were genetic copies, it would be hard to believe they could end up so alike, if they werent raised and tought together.

BTW, why to revert their order between per36 and per100?
In both cases shooting % wouldn't change, so it's obvious Player 1 per 36 is Player 2 in per100.

It's a typical twins joke.

"I am Fred, no I am George".

Ausar fouls at like double the rate of his brother, and his stock rate is more evenly divided than his brother too.

I think that has more to do with the context -- who they play with, team schemes, role -- than anything in their individual games. Example: Amen plays on a team with a few defenders who will argue who gets to guard the other team's best player, while Ausar is getting that role in DET pretty much by default.

I’m not searching for and embedding the link, but there’s a truly great video out there detailing how different their approaches are on defense this year, almost certainly by coaching design.

Ausar plays for steals and gets way more, but also fouls a lot more. Makes sense, as we use him as a POA defender a fair bit, and his minutes were limited coming back from the clot, so the foul rate mattered less.

Amen is playing to stay in front of his man, and typically closer to the rim to help protect Sengun. Less steals, less fouls, more blocks. Equally devastating defense.

Worth noting that Ausar played more like Amen last year. Both are capable of whatever. Truly elite stuff.

Ausar looked really good on defense in the recent Warriors/Pistons game.
