Love Giannis, but he has played a total of 3 games over the past 2 postseasons and has far inferior numbers. Shai is better at this point undeniably.

I have Shai ahead slightly, but Giannis could definitely reassert himself this playoffs. He isn't the Freak for no reason.

I'm going with Giannis for now because he's shown it in the playoffs as well.

That being said, if Shai has a dominant playoff performance this year and leads his team to new heights, I would give the nod to him.

It's a fair question. Shai is probably the MVP frontrunner, but Giannis is still an absolute beast. I'm going with Shai by a very small margin at this point.

Shai is having the much better season. I only see the gap growing as Giannis gets older. He's already 30, and I don't ezpect him to age gracefully, give his style of play.

Who is playing better this year/right now? Undoubtedly it’s Shai.

Who is the better player? I think that’s tougher. We’ve seen what Giannis is capable of. And he’s still incredible this year. He’s just a couple steps behind Shai. His supporting cast is also worse than it’s been in a while.

We’ve seen guys bounce back from much smaller deficits.

I’m a homer so I’ll say Shai.

Giannis has obviously had the better career thus far but if the question is better currently it's Shai.

SGA has clearly played better this season.

Giannis is still good enough to outplay anyone over the course of a playoff though.

We need to wait for the playoffs. Guys in their 30s like Giannis aren’t trying to put up stats in meaningless regular season games. He’s got bigger fish to fry.

Shai is better over a stretch but I think in a game or series Giannis can still peak above Shai. Luka better than both right now.

I'm a Giannis homer, but he is a stat hound. He is competitive in everything he does and stats matter to him. Sunday night against Cleveland, game was essentially over. I tell my buddy Giannis is going to hit his 30 and sit. 2 minutes later Giannis aggressive gets a basket and immediately leaves the game. There was no question that he was stat padding there.

Giannis is 30 while Shai is 26 so just from playoff experience perspective, Giannis has been through more. And I feel like Giannis is a guy you can put on any team and he'd light up the box scores. Shai is one of the top PGs in the league but I'll give it to Giannis for now. I imagine Giannis is more watching his long term health as a ~7 footer so regular season isn't the big focus at this stage in career and thus stats aren't as eye popping as a few years ago.
