Wednesday 3/12 NBA Game Thread

Post#1 » by bisme37 » Wed Mar 12, 2025 5:33 pm

It's a 9 game Wednesday featuring a pretty cool doubleheader on ESPN if you're into that sort of thing

- #1 in West Thunder visit defending champion Celtics on ESPN - BOS going for 6th straight win, OKC has won 8 of 9 - The only 2 teams in top 5 on both ends of the floor - Both looking to officially clinch a playoff spot tonight

- #2 vs #7 in West as Nuggets host Wolves on ESPN - West semis rematch from last season - Both teams 6-4 in last 10, but MIN have won 5 in a row

- Plus Spurs vs Mavs in Texas showdown, Knicks visit Blazers, Rockets host Suns, and other stuff wow this is nuts you guys

Jalen Williams is out for OKC

KP has been upgraded to questionable with his viral illness. Tatum and Brown are questionable as well but I think they play.

Update: KP out. Jays wil play.

This Raptors v Sixers game is truly disgusting when there's still more than 20 games left in the season.

Raptors are missing Barnes, Barrett, Ingram, Dick, Quickley, Agbajiu & a bunch of others.

Sixers are missing Embiid, Geroge, Maxey, Lowry and possibly a few more.

They really need to come up with a way, not to punish, but to unreward tanking teams. These games are almost unwatchable due to the number of players "resting" or nursing minor ailments, making the lineups look more like G-league games than the NBA.

For comparison of different sports, I watched Simon Benoit of the Maple Leafs reset his own dislocated thumb while in the penalty box the other night. He finished the game and won't miss any time...

Both teams' lineup will have as many GLeaguers as NBA players

It would be fair if they cut the ticket prices in half
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

Its super easy, but they will have to fight with the players association. If a player doesn't play, unless they are actually injured/sick/family emergency, they don't get payed, or get docked a percentage of their pay.

I believe this move is in the best interest for the fans, league, and players long-term.

OKC has lost like 2 games in a month and they've lost ground on the Cavs....Crazy.

that 2nd 3 chucked early in the clock by JT is exactly why he isn't a real superstar player

all that experience, why would you take that shot down 0-5 in that moment..awful shot. just not smart enough.
