Maybe this will make him realize staying at Duke for another year is beyond stupid

EDIT: To clarify since people keep quoting me - I personally don't think he is going to stay at Duke another season, and I fully am aware that his quote in the Athletic where he said “I want to come back next year" has been ran with out of context by the media, but oddsmakers have apparently and a lot of people have chirped up about him potentially staying another season. Again, I never said he claimed he was going to do that, only that this should make him realize (if he wasn't already aware) why that would be a bad idea. So please spare me your retorts

Now he will unfortunately miss the season and won’t be drafted at number 1.

People really think hes gonna stay for another year?

There's literally a 0, and I mean 0 (not 0.5) percent chance he doesnt declare.

He is still going to go #1.

Doesn't look too bad. Nothing ankle related can keep him from going #1. Tearing an Achilles is the only way for him to drop from #1.

Getting an ankle injury in Charlotte? He's one of us (Hornets) already!

The game is in the Spectrum Center and he’s already hurt?

That’s Hornets DNA

Just looking at the bright side here - that's the best type of lower body injury he can have. It's pretty clear he didn't tear anything. Maybe he broke a bone in his foot or something. Feel bad for Duke fans if this causes him to miss a march madness run...Duke can still possibly win it all without him.

Just reminder that with new odds worst team only has a better chance than 14% of getting the #1 pick. I look that up all the time and always forget how small it is. Like half of what it used to be.

Zion broke his shoe during March Madness and he still got drafted as consensus #1 pick.

Cooper Flagg looks like far the most talented prospect. No way he aint number 1.

Yup, all from a quote that was taken out of context.

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve read all day.
He sprained his ankle. It happens.

He came walking back out of the locker room on his own right to the bench. But ruled out remainder of the game until x-ray results come back. I say he misses today, is 50/50 tomorrow and back for ACC championship if Duke survives without him.

The NIL is an improvement but it is a moral abomination that universities get away with having an agreement not to offer players cash for working for their university basketball team.

The entire arrangement is a disgrace and the sooner it ends the better.

I 100% think he doesn't return to Duke, but I also 70%+ believe he uses that as leverage to not be drafted by several "tanking" teams (Charlotte, Washington) possibly even Utah, NO as well. He'll dictate where he wants to go.
