This guy used to be a promising, athletic, skilled player who has length and fluidity in his game. I was looking at old highlights when he was on the Knicks a couple of years ago and this dude looked like he had potential.

Now he's basically a hustle player who can't provide anything on offense. What went wrong? He'll likely be out of the league soon after the Lakers upgrade Goodwin to a standard contract.

Didn't translate, I guess. He's in his mid-20s and hasn't made the leap. Never got his shot going, doesn't really have the tools to get it done, it seems.

He can’t score. Good defender but you can’t be completely useless on offense in todays league.

He's a knucklehead who can't actually shoot consistently, even though it looks like he should.

I am no college expert, but if I remember, he wasn't really even good in college, Duke was it? All his hype is remnant from his highschool days still, as you said, he simply lacked skill this PRO level requires. Never really improved, talent was just not there, NBA rolled the dice since he was athlete and had size, but thats what it is. He was a bust from day one, he is in the NBA, because NBA teams just reusing familiar names as I complained many times before. This kid would not stand out in any way even in international leagues.

I am no college expert either. But he shot under 36% from the field and 33.3% from 3, wasn't much the either.

In the NBA, he did have that one nice series against the Bucks a few years ago when he was with Atlanta. Played 4 out of 6 games, was 9/14 from 3 and was 10/22 otherwise. But that was literally the peak of his career.

Cam worked on his shooting since College but he was never a consistent shooter. He showed his flaws in College but executives never realized that he never had the skillset or the mindset to succeed. 33% shooter in College and the Atlanta Hawks thought he would be special.

This. His ceiling looked to be Hardison Barnes coming out of college which is why he lasted until the late lottery.

Theres SO many cases like Cam Reddish. Guys who were multi-talented scorers at low levels that couldn't adapt to the NBA game. Cam should have been working relentlessly on his spot up 3's in the offseason to become a dangerous 3 and D guy.

It wasn't even the NBA game; he wasn't a stunner in college, man.

Cam is probably going to be waved to convert Goodwin's contract from a two-way deal. I've appreciated Cam on the Lakers. He's not great, but when he's gotten opportunities the last two years he's played with a lot of energy and effort. He's been very professional about being in and out of the rotation. He's a perfectly fine 10-12th man on an NBA team, but the offense is really rough. He gets completely ignored by the other team.

Funny to go back and look at the rankings of the players from 2018. Reddish and Barrett were both considered better than Zion.

Cam was a reach where he was drafted. Had he been taken at the end of the 1st, or even the 2nd round, I think there's a decent chance he would have had a better career.

Are you trolling bro? Everyone knew he sucked right when he got drafted. His whole thing was 'he looks the part but he sucks at basketball' lol. I'm honestly surprised he's still in the NBA
