Tyrese Haliburton is unreal.

Considering how early into his career he is, he should be shattering this if he can stay healthy. *knocks on wood*

To not only be an elite playmaker, but to be elite at taking care of the ball on top of it is wild.

I wish I knew who it was so I could give them credit, but I saw a TikTok of all things saying that Haliburton is going to be a top-5 all-time point guard before he even made his first all-star game. This was in like 2022, and they were dead serious.

Maybe optimistic even knowing what we know now, but he’s insane enough of a talent that it’s not out of the realm of possibility. Let’s hope he can stay healthy.
Also, something that might surprise people. I think when it comes to athleticism, agility, physical attributes and skill I rate LeBron only in the top 50.

Needed to be on the court for that last play though.

its funny because his ability really must mess with SOME fans minds. Tyrese Hali has probably the smallest "bag" amoung starting point guards, yet his statistics are very impressive and some times he can go for 35 +

I knew Hali would be great coming into the draft and wanted the Knicks to draft him.

They instead decided not to draft a point guard (which the team needed) but take an old backup PF in Obi Toppin — who they never actually gave real minutes to.

Rick has to be one of the best coaches of all time when it comes to getting the most out of a guard...very unpopular take, Hali would be even better with a good PnR center who sets good screens

That's very impressive, and he's already with an elite company.

Most times people post random arbitrary stats "Only the first player to score 50 points on a Monday, during a leap year"

He's an extremely good player. His scoring game isn't elite, sure, but he's a high-end playmaker and that's been extremely valuable (and fun to watch).

He's a great talent and a lot of fun to watch on his game. My only critique...which is a strength in many ways...is that Hali may be unselfish to a fault, refusing to force things even when his team needs someone to take over and make some "bad shots". Which is a big part of why Nembhard has been so important to them and the Siakam pickup was so big for them.

...but ultimately, I think they need Hali to learn how to take over more in the biggest moments; when they need their best player to do more than just make "the right play"

8.8 to 2.2 career 4:1 assist to TOV ratio is nothing to joke about

in a "down" year he's 9.3 to 1.7 on Ast to TOV, truthfully, he should be on the All NBA team. He's also at the 65 games.

He started out slow but slowly ramped up and now he's his best ball of the season.

He's only 24, the Pacers are comfortably a playoff team with him and Siakam.

I really feel like, if the Pacers have a chance to upgrade heavily at the big man position they could be serious contenders for a season rather than "team that might make noise"

It's no coincidence, as soon as Haliburton joined, Myles Turner started putting up career #s

Kings should have never traded him. He's everything you look for in a point guard and easy to build around.

151 assists to 13 turnovers is insane.

Can't believe we drafted Vassell over this guy. Probably wouldn't have turned out the same but man a Hali/Wemby duo would have been nice

Who do you think would be an upgrade over Turner?

Turner is actually a good PnR center. Honestly, offensively, Turner is a great fit next to Haliburton as he can PnR or PnP. His ability to space the floor is perfect for Haliburton. Only real issue with Turner is rebounding, everything else he does well.

It's very hard to say because he's been shooting great from 3 this year. When I said upgrade I meant getting a true superstar level C next to Hali. The only name that could really be that for them would be if Joel Embiid somehow gets completely healthy

I'm not saying he's available, especially for a conference rival, but Adebayo? And (unfortunately) could the Mavs' situation worsen quickly and AD become available? With AD, these Pacers would be serious contenders to win it all.

For real. You traded him to keep De’Aaron Fox who you just traded for Zach Lavine to create the Bulls 2.0? What a move.
