6-10, elite athlete. (And now NCAA player of the year and projected #1 draft pick.)

What's his NBA projection/comparison? Sounds like he could be the next great NBA player.

I don't watch the NCAA but I keep hearing of Flagg. Hoping he becomes the next great American prospect because god knows we need one.

We will never forget the massive choke vs. Houston.

Not his fault but still hilarious. I love that it happened.

He had a solid overall game. I think many will remember the 8/19 shooting and that last miss, but as you say, he was FAAAAR from alone in losing that one. Duke's backcourt sucked INTENSELY for the last 3 minutes.

I don't watch a lot of college, but I purposely watched several Duke games this season to see Flagg. He's the real deal.

6"9" - 7"2" wingspan. Can shoot, pass, handle the ball, play defense. He was just so much better than anyone on the floor most games it wasn't even funny. First time I have rooted for Duke in the tournament, I just wanted to see him play more games.

He could have played another year in high school, he had a waiver or something to go to college a year early. The dude held his own against the Olympic team at 17.

He'll need to get better at everything in the NBA, or course, but I'd love to be the team that gets him. Could be a generational type of player, we'll see.

He sucked on his two points hence the bad raw FG%, but he hit his 3s and got the line a lot so it was 27 points on 59% TS overall

Alright moment of truth!

What lottery team do you want to see Flagg on?

Yep. Like I said, solid game overall. Non-dominant, but certainly not the main reason they lost. That last 3 minutes was horrible to watch.

More than solid game, considering he played better than his season averages, against the best team they faced the whole season, in the most important game of his career. That's being clutch in my eyes.

It was quite entertaining to see that collapse though as a neutral observer.

The one thing eveeryone should keep in mind is that since the NBA has become so shooting- and offense-oriented, it's harder and harder predict who can reach this 1st/2nd-tier of superstardom. Shai, Jokic, Giannis - have we ever had top3 in MVP voting without top10 draft pick? I don't think so. That's the eventuality here.

How does he compare to Wemby? Who is the greater prospect?

How about coming out of college compared to Zion?

Wemby was a better prospect, but he was also almost a year older in his draft season, and it's hard to tell how good would've been Flagg if he hadn't reclassified. Flagg is literally in the same age to Dwight or LeBron when they were drafted 1st straight from HS. That being said, Wemby was probably the closest prospect since LeBron to actual 'generational' label.

Zion had a bit better season in NCAA statistically and he could be a better player (he was great defensively in Duke as well), but I think he's always been a concern how so huge perimeter player can maintain difficulties of NBA career, so I think it's higher floor vs bigger risk and perhaps higher ceiling situation.

Haha the fact that so many people and talking heads ran with a clearly out of context quote, which the author of the article had to come out multiple times to clarify that Flagg never intended to return, but no one listened.

And the idea of him returning became a talking point for all the talking heads was pretty funny to watch.
