The Post Mortem Graveyard
Greetings, welcome to the graveyard -- where tanking teams lie and playoff dreams go to die. Take a look around, you may find your team's spot and if you so desire, add to each team's epitaph if some news rises from the off-season depths.
I continued this series because of a poster ElectricMayhem did a great job with it, but mentioned they might not have the time, shout out to EM, I always thought these were neat, so happy to continue it on in some form.

lakers are done and should take moving on from lebron to heart. there's literally no point in including him in any future decision.
If there's been a drop-off from last year by lebron, next year will be exponentially so

No pun Intended, but do people here on realgm even know what "NO Trade Clause" Is?.
Him and Beal are the only players to have them and sadly can't trade them unless they ask for trades to teams they want.
They can say NO to any trade they want.

l didn't say anything about a trade. I just said move on. I thought my intonation was explicit about literally having NOTHING to do with lebron. even if he waived his contact and offered to play for a tuppence, the league(and maybe just plain youth) is dusting the lakers.... and that's just this year. a year from now lebron's only worth will be his smarts.
maybe asst coach would be a good job description

That's fair, I'm one of very few who never wanted him, most of my mates go for; Celtics, Pacers, Spurs, Knicks. When Bron signed with Lakers I was like oh great here we go, they all laughed knowing how badly I don't like him, can't wait till his gone

If they trot out LeBron next season again, Luka will be gone because they prioritized catering to LBJ's desire for attention and spotlight more than Luka's prime and his wish to compete and win. You heard it here first.

In Red, what do you mean? Lakers will cater to Luka, not Lebron.

Lakers, management and coaching, were doing what LeBron wanted. Will he be allowed to play zero defense the entire regular season again, pad his offensive stats to chase his longevity all time records, and be a net negative? That you cant call "catering to Luka". Reddick will continue to be a finger puppet of LBJ and Klutch i guess and that means the season will be another "look at me" show instead of a competitive approach.
Its simple. If you are Luka, if you even want to consider staying there, you tell them what to change, who to get and who to get rid of. What if he wants them to trade Bronny? What do you think will happen? I say if they dont listen to him fully he simply will leave. Maybe back to Dallas after Nico is gone.

There is a separate Lakers graveyard thread. Use it. Sick of that dumb franchise hijacking every damn thread.

Its more of a Lebron hijack. I am not a fan of his, but some crap he gets is wild now. I was up there with you guys, I thought Lebron hijacked the franchise, making them draft his son, give no trade clause etc, but I think at this point it is clear that Lakers moving on, they finally have a player who is far more important to them than current Lebron. They will ride his final year and its done, not like Lebron is a bad player, he is still pretty good, not like he is some kind of huge burden, he was a burden when he dictated everything, but it is over now, Lakers will cater to Luka as they should.

My Warriors likely here soon. They might have delayed it a bit if they had won the final game of the season and faced the Lakers in round 1.

Speaking of ESPN, if the Warriors lose game 7, there will be no LeBron, Steph, Butler, Durant, Kawhi, AD, Kyrie left in the playoffs. Gonna force those brain dead casual talking heads to talk about the next generation of players for once.
Of course, it will still be all Lakers all day. Who am I kidding?
