Difference Between Doc Rivers and Tyronn Lue?

Doc is a punching bag around here, reasonably so, but why is Tyronn Lue given a pass?

Not much difference between them. I think that Rivers is a bigger choke artist than Lue, though. He's worse.

tyron lue has playoff Harden and broken down Kawhi to work AROUND...and Doc has had some of the best players in their primes and under performed...its not the same.

HARDEN SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED..but he isn't...he took 8 shots! when it mattered...hell Kawhi took 13,...wtf is up with these guys. this is dishonorable basketball by the clippers leaders

Lue was always an overrated coach IMO but I'll give him the nod over Doc

Nobody had won more with less than Doc Rivers.

Ty Lue has always done a good job of keeping his teams competitive when short handed due to injury.

That being said, he has absolutely underachieved in the 'yoffs.

He beat a 73 wins team, that's pretty good for a playoff underachiever.

Which 73 wins team did he beat?

Glenn won a championship as well. The clippers specifically haven't done very well under Lue.

Lue is a top 5 coach in the league still. This sqaud has no real business hanging to game 7 against a Jokic lead team. People still won't give him credit because he was seen as just a LeBron puppet early on. Rivers is a players coach who hasn't done that much except make sure he's always on a team with a ton of talent. Not the same at all.

I mean, he kind of had the best player in the world on his roster at the time.

Like I said, Rivers won a championship as well. You judge him on his entire playoff resume.

Doc wasted CP’s prime and Lue wasted Kawhi and PG’s primes

Kawhi got injured in the playoffs every single year he and PG played for the Clippers with Lue as their head coach.

He lead the Clippers to the conference finals winning the last two games without Kawhi. Doc could never do that.

Hard disagree on that one. He's closer to bottom 5 than top 5 in my book

The Clippers better fire Ty Lue.
