Time for Houston to Move on From Jalen Green

Post#1 » by TheBullsDynasty » Mon May 5, 2025 3:17 am

Aside from the one game he played really well, Jalen Green's stats against the GSW were:

G1 - 7 points on 3/15 FG 0/4 3P 1/2 FT
G3 - 9 points on 4/11 FG 1/5 3P 0/0 FT
G4 - 8 points on 3/8 FG 1/5 3P 1/3 FT
G5 - 11 points on 3/8 FG 2/4 3P 3/5 FT
G6 - 12 points on 3/11 FG 1/6 3P 5/6 FT
G7 - 8 points on 3/8 FG 0/2 3P 2/3 FT

He literally disappeared 6 out of the 7 games.

Rockets need to package him with some other assets during the next season and trade for a star guard if they have any aspirations for contending.

Serious question - is he even worth a 1st at this point? Or is his value constrained to his salary for trades?

Ain't nobody touching that contract even at his young age. Dude killed his value, he will have to build it back up next season. He was awful in this series.

The problem is you have to find a buyer. These days, most teams are too smart to fall for a guy like Green, especially at 35M.

Ya, Houston needs to focus on a elite scoring SG. I love Fred but he can't be your main perimeter scorer...

'trade him to taiwan for Jeremy Lin.

Lin can at least shoot somewhat.

Bane for Green. They need shooting we need more athleticism.

Nobody will want him with that contract. Maybe a tanking team would be willing to give up an older overpaid player on a shorter contract.

Nah I think that is more like Sengun + a thousand picks/swaps, while also taking back a bad contract.

Is Kuzma on the books for long? that is the right amount of dead weight.

Udoka would put a shiny ribbon on Jalen Green and personally deliver him to the Grizzlies for Bane.

AINT no way grizz actually considers this?

Have you guys looked at his averages fam? If you need athleticism i assure you Bane can net something MUCH better than **** Jalen Clarkson.

At this point, Green is just there to match salaries. The real value being traded will be Sheppard, Whitmore, Smith and some picks

BAW GAHD THAT IS THE WASHINGTON WIZARDS MUSIC!

seriously though, his contract sucks and idk why anyone wants him unless they are swapping dead weight contracts.

Sure you are "buying the dip" on his stock but it is low for a reason. His defense was poor, he can't run a play and his scoring is... to say it nicely... "erratic"

But maybe he bounces back in a situation like the Hornets. It is the East, he'd have a run and gun offense and point guard that is all about making those highlights.

He is still young enough where some desperate teams will value him. He can be a flashy scorer too so that might help with ticket sales... right? I'm just making **** up here. Please somebody offer something decent for him otherwise this Rockets team ain't going anywhere
