In terms of peak impact on defense.

I get its hard to rank across eras, this is just your personal opinion.

He's certainly up there for me, but very hard to define greatest across era's for me.

I voted top 10 but it’s difficult to compare players from different eras, especially when we don’t have defensive stats.

Top 10 and it's really sort of subjective from there. Rodman, Dwight, Russell, Duncan, Hakeem, KG, Big Ben, Pippen, Dikembe, Kareem. He's in that group, somewhere.

I have a vague all-time defense list, and have Draymond #9 on it.

The guys I have over him: Bill Russell, Hakeem, Ben Wallace, KG, Duncan, David Robinson, Nate Thurmond, Dikembe Mutombo.
I have him just ahead of: Gobert, Wilt, Pippen, Ewing, M.Gasol.

I feel really strongly about the top 5 (Bill, Hakeem, Ben, KG, Duncan), after that I think there's a tier of very different great defenders that you can make arguments for.

One of the best all time.

And one of the most fierce competitors we've ever seen.

Mr triple single is underrated by casuals.

I have these guys over him for sure. Overall ill say hes probably top 15-20 all time

where do you value his defense against smaller players? Thats where he is really valuable at, be able to defend 1 - 5. Best small ball center of all time.

He's the greatest all round defender of all time.

There are better center defenders, there are better small defenders, but no other defender is as smart as him, and no other defender can guard every single player in the leauge like him.

His ability to quarterback the defense by telling everybody where they should be, and predicting where opponents are gonna go is very underrated.

Dray is Top 3 all time for his all-around Versatility and his unmatched defensive IQ. He's an undersized, relatively unathletic, post-prime big man who's still terrorizing offenses mainly because of his IQ.

I think he's up there in terms of versatility for sure, but to say some of these older guys are better than him is debatable. There aren't many ibcan say are undeniable better. KG, Hakeem, Bill, Timmy and Wallace are definitely better post defenders, but none of those guys could guard the perimeter like Dray.

Rudy Gobert is a similar defensive mold to those guys, hes basically Mutumbo, yet no one has mentioned him, he has 4 DPOYs. Should that mean those guys aren't worth mentioning either?

He's definitely up there with the best. Poll is weird though. Being Top 20 all time is elite. It's not "aight".

He's the best defensive player of the last 10 years alongside Kawhi.

I voted top 20 he aight.

But I wish we had a higher number because I hate this dude with a passion. When he makes the HOF I will probably prank call him and embarrass him like they did Shedeur Sanders.

Hes a Rodman/Kawhi hybrid with infinite IQ. Say what u will but we may never see another Draymond Green

Top 10 definitely seems right. I'd put him behind Russell, Hakeem, Robinson, Garnett, and Mutombo, but I can't really think of anyone else.

And some people still think Klay was more integral to their success.

If we’re talking purely defensive impact he’s easily top 10. If we’re talking most influential he’s top 3.

Dray changed the game and suddenly teams were looking for switchy big men
