Well deserved. As we saw in the Denver matchup, Shai is the true definition of Most Valueble player.

Well deserved.

68 wins in the league while averaging 33/5/6. Honestly, pretty easy decision even though I think Joker is a better player.

Not even close. That was a sham. This one is well deserved.

Jokic is still the "better player", but the win difference + SGA's stats, even as a Nuggets fan, I know you couldn't really vote for anyone else.

I know it doesn't factor in, but game 7 sealed it for me

Was hoping it'd be Joker, but Shai had an MVP-caliber season. A brilliant year, really, and he's back on track in the playoffs after a slower start.

Quality selection.

You could argue we had 2 MVPs this year, personally I couldn't argue against either guy.

Shai earned it and is a great choice for MVP. Congrats Thunder!

Shai's acceptance speech.

"I'd like to start off by thanking Tony Brothers, Scott Foster, Zach Zarba"
"Refs, you the real MVP"

that's three different mvp's in an 11-season span for the thunder. an unprecedented achievement. only nine times in history has a team even had two different mvp's in a 15-season span. much less three in eleven. paul george also had a top-3 finish.

it's tough not to have any rings to show for it up to this point, but the thunder's ability to acquire and develop talent is unmatched.
