Are there any players in Todays NBA who feel misplaced and coulb be suited for another era?

Obvious choices:
DeMar DeRozan
he would be better suited for the 80s and may be a star in that era

Andre Drummond would have been a force in the 80s

Kyle Anderson
His slow pace and lack of burst can be a liability against the speed and athleticism of the modern game.

Draymond Green LOL

sixers version of Ben Simmons would have been fun in the early to mid 2000s. it would have been interesting to see how he developed his post game being that guards posted up more back then

DeRozan has sucked in the playoffs across multiple eras. I doubt it would matter what era he played in.

Yeah I agree. He plays in an era where teams are okay with guys taking the types of shots he takes. If he was guarded more tightly to not allow him to I think he falters.

Pretty much any guys who plays "old-school" would do worse when the league was set up more to guard those guys.

Same thing with old school guys who shot 3's. They wouldn't be better now. They'd be garbage now when everyone can do their gimmick. Steve Kerr would not be in the NBA anymore for example.

Any quick perimeter player from the 80s/90s and today.

Reggie Miller would FEAST today.

Any defensive, talented big from now and the 90s.

Jason "White Chocolate" Williams would be insane in today's freewheeling and fast paced league.

Gary Payton could be an even greater nuisance and disruptor as he always was, though he'd have to watch it now as they're quick to get in their feelings and dole out techs.

Hakeem Olajuwon would be unstoppable now given how soft big men are in today's league.

Sheed is the picture perfect big for today's game

I mean, other way about who would've been "better" today he was still an all NBA player, but Shawn Marion would be absolutely appreciated a lot more now then he was 20 years ago

Peja Stojakovic

Tim Legler aka LEGS and the only competent guy on ESPN would be excellent in the 3 pt era. Likely shooting 15 threes per game at +45% clip.

I was going to list him and Amare Stoudemire, but I let it go. Good to see someone else understands their impact and how they'd be great today.

Lots of former Raptors who, if they were in the right Eras, their skill sets would be better utilized and appreciated.

He'd be about the same in the 80s as now. He would have been reasonably efficient back then, but he still sucks in the playoffs, so that would hold him back from greater acclaim.

Andre Drummond would have been a force in the 80s

He would have been a repetitious rebounding champ back then, as he has been. He's even been a 2-time AS in his actual career. No range, horrendous FT shooter, not a good passer, no real iso game... we're basically talking about Michael Cage, here.

The hell...? Kyle Anderson has been in the league for a decade and has averaged 10+ ppg once. The 80s were a fast, fast era; for much of it, faster than the current era. He wouldn't be in any better shape back then compared to now.

I think Chris Mullin would be even better as a higher usage three point shooter (which he probably would have become in this era)
