Pacers advance to the Finals tonight, book it

Brunson getting foul trouble is the only chance the Knicks have.

I will never forget this classic when we played the Pacers in the playoffs. We took over their home court and got this gem.

Knicks in a squeaker, although once again, Pacers are 6-1 on the road in the playoffs and the Knicks are 3-5 at MSG. The Garden is loud and raucous on a nightly basis, yet they don't seem to have any kind of homecourt advantage. Very strange.

Well I'm rooting for the Pacers to win tonight as I always do, but I'd like to see them win this at GB Fieldhouse!!

Well I'm calling up the Ghost of the great Roger Brown tonight from the old ABA Pacers and banging the drum! My neighbors are gonna be so pissed! It's time the Indiana Pacers go to the finals again and win one for the Rojah!! He was one of the greatest players that 90% of NBA fans never heard of.

Dr J said he was one of the best players he ever played against. “The Pacers were the class of the league, and Roger was the class of the class,” Julius Erving said in a documentary about Brown by former IndyStar editor Ted Green.

He was once voted one of the top 5 best players ever in the ABA : 1) Doctor J. 2) George McGinnis .3) Rick Barry. 4) Roger Brown. 5) Connie Hawkins.

"Roger Brown remains 1 of the best basketball players to never play a single game in the NBA. During his 8-year career in the ABA he appeared in 4 All-Star games, set a Pacers franchise record with 46 points in a single game in 1969, and was named 1970 ABA Playoffs MVP after averaging 28.5 PPG while leading his team to a win over the Los Angeles Stars in the Finals. He later won 2 more titles with the Pacers, was unanimously selected to the ABA All-Time Team in 1997, and was posthumously inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2013. Roger passed away in 1997 but HoopsHD’s Jon Teitel got to chat with producer Ted Green about the subject of his documentary film “Undefeated: The Roger Brown Story”. Today marks the 52nd anniversary of Roger winning his 1st ABA title on May 25, 1970, so we take this time to honor his life/legacy."

All basketball fans should watch this doc just to hear what the other all time greats say about him. Pretty incredible stuff.

Edit: New York people should watch this, he was a NY playground legend. Maybe the greatest player most basketball fans have never heard of. Some of the old school guys think he's up there with Dr. J, Oscar and even Jordan.
