Eh. Realistically, no coach is benching Payne right after he was crucial to us winning our first game of the postseason...especially after how effective he had been for us in the regular season. That game bought him at least that series and we didn't need either Payne or Wright in the Boston series.

Plus Wright looked like he needed time to settle in when he got to play in the regular season and has had a few plays in this series that show a lack of chemistry. Would that have been helped by replacing Payne after game 1 of that Detroit series more than just letting Wright continue to build chemistry in practice, or would that have just given Carlisle more tape to prepare?

I wouldn't have minded Shamet getting some minutes and suggested it a few times, even having some neutrals misrepresent me by claiming I was 'banking on Shamet to save us'...but again we didn't need to use him before now, which limited Carlisle's tape on him, so I can't get in too much of a fuss about Thibs not tipping his hand until he needed to put his cards on the table.

It's tough because we lost game 1 by a FT, if that game had been like game 2, then I'd be criticizing Thibs for not making the changes after game 1, but that game was so close that I can't blame him...even if it's something I thought we'd need to do before the series even started.

What was different about Delon’s chemistry with the team between Game 2 and Game 3 in this series? Or why not use Shamet to spell Mikal or Hart some minutes instead of playing them almost 40 minutes a game in previous series? This wasn’t a strategy to keep Carlisle from getting tape. This was a desperation move to see if something new would work. I’m happy Thibs made the adjustment, but can’t pretend it’s because he wanted to.

Could we see one more "2002 WCF Game 6" type of games? Stern went full YOLO on that game. Is Stern continue his master work or he chose a different path. If they put Foster as chief of crew twitter will be on fire before the game.

Pacers going to come out hungry. Don’t think they’ve lost back to back for a while.

Hope the Knicks can keep up the energy. We’ve had too many letdown games this postseason.

If you want a textbook example of a dead arena you can go to Barclays. Subpar at best.

The Nets made the mistake of trying to buy a Super Team! When those guys are rather enigmatic like KD, Kyrie Irving and James Hardin you run the risk of the team imploding which is what happened. Lucky for the Nets they were able to trade those guys and get something for them. That trade bringing Hardin to the Nets could still be terrible. Nets still owe the Rockets swaps in 2025 and 27 and an unprotected pick in 2026.

You want to see a raging crowd come to 125 S. Pennsylvania St, Indianapolis, IN that's the address of Gainbridge Field House.

What happens if it's so quiet at the end of the game that you can hear a pin drop? :o

Either way both Gainbridge and MSG are way better than Barclays. :P

People are under the impression that Thibs made the adjustment in game 5, when really game 3 was the start of the adjustment. Not only the starting lineup but Shamet + Delon playing a role
They played 24 minutes in game 3 and 5, 20 minutes in game 4.
The usual: team loses then fans complain that no adjustments were made, team wins then it means great adjustments were made
