Said it in that other thread. Just cause he did the best job anyone could’ve this season, doesn’t mean he’s the right fit moving forward.

No one else could’ve gotten them further, but now they need someone who can build on his foundation even further by addressing shortcomings like a lack of bench development.

It’ll be interesting to see if they can truly replace him with someone better. Maybe they already have someone in mind. Hopefully not Mike Malone.

But it seems like a lot of coaching replacements end up flopping. If you have a good thing, stick with it and make minor improvements.

Then again, I have a lot of faith in Leon Rose. So we’ll see!

I don't really feel either way about this but I have to say, they knew who he was when they hired him. He's the same coach he's always been. To fire him because he has short rotations, etc... ; his flaws shouldn't have been a surprise.

Knicks back to irrelevancy moving forward. It was fun lol

They had to do something, but I wouldn't be surprised if they regress next year. Thibs' coaching covered for a lot of their deficiencies and his dismissal won't make Brunson a better than Trae Young level defender...

i mean Denver fired their coach right before the playoffs and it was the coach that helped them win a chip.
