Add Prime LeBron on 2025 Pacers and Prime Kevin Durant on 2025 Thunder

Post#1 » by ImmortalD24 » Sat Jun 21, 2025 12:27 am

Infuse these two in the finals..

Bron wouldn't have to worry about last second shots with Haliburton on the squad.. Kevin Durant would have a point guard with elite decision making and scoring in SGA. Which team would win in a 7 game series?

Not sure if a serious thread or looking to take a subtle shot at Lebron (which has no basis).

Pacers win easily. KD and SGA would clash on offence. LeBron and Hali are redundant as well, but I feel they'd have enough basketball IQ to make it work.

I don't see that happening.. Kevin Durant got inserted into teams with already elite offensive threats and he fit in seamlessly ie: Warriors. He can get his whenever he wants.. especially once they converge on SGA's drives he'll have that pull-up midrange to milk all game. Also KDs defender (LeBron) would be attached to him as he's a threat anywhere past halfcourt. Not sure if serious.

You know who he is.. it's Kevin Durant. :-? He already guarded prime LeBron in 3 finals.

I think LeBron would dominate. Pacers got so much three point shooting it won't be fair with him and Hali finding open guys.

OKC is touted as one of the best defensive teams in quite some time and they guard the 3 point line as good as anyone. They can manage that quite easily. Who's stopping SGA from getting to the line?

I'm not sure if you been watching the finals but Pacers have been lighting them up from three. And Pascal has given SGA a lot of trouble when he has switched onto him. Pascal had a couple blocks on SGA when he tries playing one on one with him. Whos stopping LeBron from attacking the basket? He's gonna dunk all over Chet.

With the way people have been rewriting history here lately, OKC wins easily even without Durant.

Durant fits anywhere, and would fit well as a 3/4 in OKC's lineups. Switchable, obviously can shoot, and solves an offensive problem for them. Just like GSW, Durant would take them from 68 wins to maybe the best team of all-time.

Pacers with LeBron would be awesome because prime LeBron is the best basketball player I've ever seen, but he changes the entire dynamic of their offense. With LeBron, they would play a completely different brand of basketball. Everything great about their team now would disappear and be reborn as something completely new and different. Would it be better? Almost certainly yes, but it's hard to say how much better, especially compared to the seamless fit of KD on OKC.

The entire system and team dynamic will more than likely change with the Pacers.. Kevin Durant only enhances the Thunder as he's just a plug and play offensive juggernaut. Pascal Siakam switched on an already exhausted SGA who had to carry his team to the finals offensively (scoring champion as a necessity). it's a different animal with KD as the first option and given the freedom and spacing that he's never had before. He'll Swiss cheese the Pacers and would probably average historic amount of freethrows with OKC living on the freethrow line and Bron's Pacers having to deal with a set defense every play down.

I agree KD is a amazing fit. But this is prime LeBron I think people forget the crappy teams he would carry by him self. I just think he would love playing on a team like this. LeBron is a crazy leader while KD is just there to get buckets. I think we could go back and forth all day and can make good points for both sides.

I think with Carlisle as coach, you'll also still get something that's fun and not just a regular Lebron team offense, even if there will be snippets of Lebron controlling the offense. One of the Pacers biggest weaknesses is a guy who can just get the ball and consistently move the defense and touch the paint at any point in time. They have guys who can do it, but the consistently, not so much, and Lebron is that guy, all the time.

This is actually a pretty interesting comparison

The part about LeBron not having to worry about last second shots because he would have Hali?

It was fairly obvious

I understand you took offense to that.. but it's actually true considering this is what Haliburton excels at.. modern day Reggie Miller. There's no shame in that and even though LeBron has taken great strides in becoming a clutch player it's not second nature to him. How many game winners has LeBron had in his 10 finals? None. This is quite the compliment for LeBron tbqh.

These are both great fits. I think the LeBron fit is being underrated - LeBron on a team with great spacing and a pass-first point guard would be awesome.

The Durant one is an obvious great fit.
