East teams should be trying everything in their power to compete next year
Boston and Indiana are toast, Cleveland still hasn't done anything in the playoffs, the Knicks are good, but not great.
Orlando just made a move...Philly should be trying to do something. Milwaukee might get their best offer for Giannis by a team like Toronto pushing their chips into the middle.
I expect chaos this off-season from eastern teams.

I don’t.
Just play for the 2030’s cause that’s the better window.

As of now think the Cavs, Magic, or Pistons win it.

Leagues going to be dominated by OKC because of the way the CBA is structured.

Wizards could be a play in team next season too. Atlanta potentially could become contenders with a couple of interesting trades.
Pistons will be favourites if they acquire Naz Reid as as a free agent or in a trade.

Re: East teams should be trying everything in their power to compete next year
I still like the Cavs like I did this year if they could just stay healthy on one of these playoff runs. I worry about the Knicks because Dolan is still running things and I expect them to screw up this coaching hire and Towns to start to regress. I think the Magic win a series next year and the sky's the limit. I'll never trust Philly because I'll never trust Embiid's health and I now feel the same way about George now too. The Bucks are a big question mark because I dont know what to expect next year. Dame is down, their depth sucks and Rivers is not really that good of a coach. But they still have Giannis who by himself even with scrubs is still good for a minimum of 40+ wins next year.

There's no reason Cleveland shouldn't make it to the finals next year, especially if they manage to retain Jerome.

Knicks back in the driver's seat somehow. East is wide open.
West still belongs to OKC though. Rockets next. Followed by the Wolves and Lakers.

OKC still has a bunch of picks to add more talent if needed to at the deadline. Caruso and Hartenstein were perfect pieces to the puzzle for OKC. They are going to be tough to beat for a while. LeBron about to head East again.

Detroit makes some interesting moves they could surprise. Not often you get a season where the path to the Finals is wide open for a conference.

East is pretty wide open. Most open it's been since 2019 probably prior to the season.
Cavs should be the favorites, but I can't trust them in the playoffs until they show it.

It's kind of crazy in that events in this past month has made the East wide open. That Desmond Bane trade will pay good dividends next year. It still feels like there's maybe one more trade needed to fill that void for a top heavy eastern team but I can't figure out who's going to be traded out to the east. Im assuming the Giannis trade isn't happening either.

I'm not a big Presti fan, but I really like his moves to get Caruso and Hartenstein.

No more excuses for the Sixers. This is it. They will never get a better opportunity to make the Finals. If they flame out, it's time for a fire sale.

Why didn't KD pick an Eastern conference team? His agent sucks ass.

The Sixers are cooked.
PG is finished.
And Embiid is likely done as a superstar.

They're too soft for playoff basketball. That's been clearly established.
