I voted Haliburton heroic shots and Pacers run, that popped in my mind first even before seeing poll. I will also remember his injury and that camera shot of Hali on crunches in hallway meeting his teammates after they lost. I was pulling for OKC, but that was very sad.

Haliburton, the good and the bad. And the Indiana run in general.

Halliburton and the Pacers extraordinary Lion Hearted Run and the emerging rise of younger teams (OKC, Pacers, Pistons, Magic etc)

Young athletic teams with great floor spacing and ability to make 3s is the now the way towards to try win a chip these days (older playoff contending teams like the Lakers, Knicks and Bucks are likely to get left behind as more younger age teams assert their advantage over slower legs

nothing from the list. tbh

to me this is the year that put the final nail in the coffin of the old era "superteams". the new super teams go 10 man deep and everybody contributes.

From a personal standpoint, my team finally returning to the playoffs and actually making some noise against a good team.

But overall definitely the improbable Indiana run and the Haliburton game winning/tying shots. Sucks that game 7 will be remembered for that injury and what could have been.

Pacers amazing run , game winners buzzer beaters , and unfortunately tragic game 7 , Hali in the tunnel greeting his teammates on crutches

It was the last time Kawhi Leonard impacted a team winning a championship. MVP.

Tatum injury because I’m a Celtics fan and one way or another that’s going to serve as a huge inflection point for their franchise. Even if they go on to win three straight when he comes back I’ll always wonder how much his growth as a player was stunted and how that could have impacted the team. Like KG era Celtics got one but in year 2 he got hurt and was never “the Big Ticket” again. They had more runs as a team and got real close a few times even though he basically could hardly dunk for the rest of his career when he came back. I’ve always wondered if BOS ends up with an extra ring or two of his career trajectory wasn’t changed like that and his decline could have been more gradual.

But other than my fam specific view, it’s gotta be the Pacers run. That and Knicks fans being hilarious were the only memorable things of the playoffs.

The Pacers magical run and heroics are probably number one, but OKCs performance was pretty memorable too. SGA playing like a true all time great en route to FMVP, Jalen Williams stepping up as a legit championship 2nd option, their elite defense for the most part translating to the playoffs and generating a ton of steals. Before getting challenged by Indy they were having a dominant playoff run, for what could be the first of several Thunder titles.

Honorable mention to the Knicks knocking off Boston to reach the ECF

Ten options listed in a poll, yet none of them contain the most shocking moment. Milwaukee's Game 5 collapse.

OKC won the ship, but this will be remembered as the most dramatic playoff run by a team maybe ever. Pacers stole the show.

1. A million things about Indy's run.
The incredible 2-way play. The comebacks. The way they bamboozled their opponents. Carlisle adding another all-time great playoff run. Hali's heroics, Nembhard's defense, Siakam's dunk on J.dub and stellar 2-way play. I was rooting for Minnesota and OKC in these playoffs, but eventually my heart was stolen by Indiana.

2. Aaron Gordon.

3. OKC's defense.
Arguably the greatest collection of defensive talent ever, playing arguably the most innovative schemes since the bad boy Pistons. They posted a 107 Drtg over the playoffs. They held Denver to 105, Memphis to 99, Minnesota to 112, and the Pacers to 108. Those were all top 10 offenses in the regular season, and Indiana/Minnesota had been playing like a top 5 offense for months. This team is simply stacked with all-defense and DPOY types.

4. Eastern Conference injuries.
The injuries to Haliburton, Lillard, and Tatum were devastating. They made the playoffs worse, but also hang over next season and change the competitive landscape of the EC. Cleveland was partially done in by injuries.

5. The playoffs are no longer a country for old men.
There were barely any 30-year-olds in the finals and conference finals. The playoffs are now for deep, young teams. Teams building around high-paid 35+ players should not be taken seriously as contenders.

Halliburton’s run and all the injuries mostly.

okc v denver series and how jokic looked like a turnover machine at times, jokic's frustration was probably thetl truth of the playoffs, and how it became an okc vs the world run

Probably Cavs having 4 of their top 5 guys injured, tbh.

Injuries.

Pacers had so many lucky breaks with injuries, just to get doomed by one in literally worst moment ever.
Almost like a movie scenario.

It's Hali, but my bias says Detroit making it back to the playoffs after 17 years of dog water, getting the 6th seed and should have gone to game 7 with NYK if the refs would have done their jobs correctly.
