Jersey No. 0 is cursed

Three key players: Jayson Tatum, Damian Lillard, and now Haliburton, all suffered an Achilles injury in the same season. But an even more notable coincidence that was spotted online by O'Shea Jackson was that all three of them wear the same number, 0.

"Benedict Mathurin about to tear both Achilles at once." (He wears the number 00). A joke, of course. No idea you could have a jersey number 00

Discuss.

It’s a weird coincidence all in one season to star player’s too. I’d think about changing that number if I were them too

You've been here since 2002 and didn't know a player could wear 00?

Damn, what's a weird coincidence. Yeah, they should change jersey numbers.

Robert Parish played for 20+ years wearing 00

Ugh and all American stars in the East too. A US born player is not winning MVP anytime soon, and the East will still be a crappy conference

Completely unrelated, but the other day I was just thinking, is number 0 cool, or not? I think it is pretty cool, but invites haters to call you literal zero if you suck.

Obviously one hell of a coincidence with these injuries.

zero the hero paying the heroes tax I guess.

Hali and Tatum played with calf soreness. the chances of injuring yourself further by playing through it is a major risk both teams took and unfortunately paid the price for. I get it though, biggest stage with the biggest competition with life/career changing outcomes on the line, so they wanted to keep playing. As for Lillard, he was simply a victim of coming back after a long break.

Next season is gonna be interesting. Pacers and Celtics most likely will fall in the standings for a year, and the Bucks are probably cooked. We could legit see the east being ran by Cleveland, NYK, Orlando, and Detroit (hopefully).

That's an interesting observation, obviously has nothing to do with jersey number, but kinda interesting that they all have that number.

Ah, I see, so would you say you're not super-stitious, but just a little-stitious?

Next year, if a player is dealing with a calf strain, maybe we keep them from playing for a while?

I am not saying there is a perfect answer. Dame had a calf strain periodically throughout the year. But the blood clots, time off, etc...just seemed destined.

27 players wore 0 this year, I didn't realize it was so common. Almost every team has one

Self inflicted mental injuries and an inability to follow rules.

Detroit in a top 4 seed would be nice to see. The guys played harder last year and they've stunk for so long the fans need it. I think they're turning the corner.
