And what are their NBA chances? I made this thread two years ago too, wasn't very popular, but I am interested to hear.

I am Lithuanian, we do not have a lot going on. Our only draft prospect this year, and he will be high pick, is Kasparas Jakučionis, a 6'6 PG/SG.

We also have Motiejus Krivas from Arizona I believe, and some people believe he will be drafted, but I am personally do not think he is NBA prospect, he is just big, he is like 7'2, but thats about it, I don't get why he would be drafted.

I am not very deep into prospects, we do not have anyone else as obvious NBA prospect, but some of our other young kids who look promising are (Nojus Indrušaitis 6'4 SG, Mantas Juzėnas 6'6 SF/SG, Dovydas Buika 6'5 PG). All these I named are perimeter players, which is strange, becaase usually, all our top guys are bigmen. We are on huge guard drought, hopefully, some of these end up being NBA or at least Euroleague players.

I always kinda liked Sotto, I do not think he is hyped just cause he is 7'1 Pilipino, which I believe is incredibly rare. I think he is pretty quick, I would like to see him in Europe, wonder what level he could play, I do not think he is bad, he could play on Eurocup team probably.

I'm from Spain. We sent you Pau, Marc and Luka -kinda-.
Calderón, Ricky Rubio... and, yes, some bums here and there, too.

No one worth looking forward to currently.

Maybe? I will say, we just can't develop players as we used to, most of our top guys were playing in Spain and went to NCAA or smth of that type. The last two good guys we had who truly developed in Lithuania are Valančiūnas and Jokubaitis, thats about it.

I personally not on ''we suck now'' camp, I am more on ''world just got better at basketball'' camp. In 90s and 00s we were obvious medal contenders in every tournament, but now Germany started to play basketball and we see the results, and what we gonna do, we have 2 million people and not like we thriving, you know what I mean?

I think there are nations that are on far worse droughts, like Croatia and even Spain, I think we are still fine, maybe not many NBA players comming up, but not like we ever had a lot of those. I just think International competition is far harder now and we are getting pushed out from the elite and thats because some countries got way better, and not cause we are worse.

Do you believe in Zikarsky? I know he looked super promising in youth tournaments as 7'3 unicorn type, but I heard he was not good at all in men leagues so far, but of course he is young. So what do you think, he can still be unicorny good, or is he just typical youth mediocrity who just dominated kids cause he had huge size advantage?

No one close. LOL. Our upcoming best national team players are most likely Half Filipinos who grew up abroad. We have two young-ish home grown dudes in the (deeper end) Gilas srotation in Carl Tamayo and Kevin Quiambao. We have Kiefer Alas, trying to get to D1, but he blew out his ACL like Kai. We have Thirdy Ravena who's trying to get some ABA/Euroleague mins with Dubai BC, but getting up there in age.

Not many bums from Spain honestly, most Spanish guys used to hit, even Garbajosa was good, and I had doubt at the time, of course he was a vet rookie.

Our HC loves Krivas...he was going to be the focal point of our offense last year (as you may know) before he was injured. I agree he's not a real prospect. Maybe a second rounder. He's too slow and can't shoot

As a Belgian we are extremely excited to have Ajay Mitchell and Toumani Camara in the league right now and even at the same time. In the past we only had DJ Mbenga as a Belgian player making it to the NBA. As far as 'good' prospects we have:

- Aaron Ona Embo
- Oskar Giltay
- Jayden Hodge and his older brother Matthew Hodge
- Noah Meeusen

I would say Jayden Hodge has the most chance making it to the NBA. He is going to Montverde academy next year.

When I think of Belgian Basketball players, I think of Axel Hervelle, he was probably the best Belgian player of recent times, but Toumani Camara has a shot to lap him bigtime. Very exiting player.
