Best Finals Winner of The Last 7 Finals

Post#1 » by mdonnelly1989 » Mon Jun 23, 2025 10:16 pm

I like doing previous rings winners I would have gone 10 but I'm not including the Superteam Warriors team.

By best I mean that they would win the most 7 game series between the rest of the canditates. Since series are largely based on matchups + total talent its unlikely any of these teams would sweep.

Obviously biased but I think that Raptors team has a compelling case.

Celtics. best playoff record of any team (16-3). much better defensive team than 2023 nuggets and better offensively than thunder, lakers or raptors.

Curry’s performance and getting his 4th championship stand out to me of the options

Anyone who votes Denver outs themselves as a delusional Jokic stan. That's inarguably one of the easiest paths to the championship in history.

Don't insult/bait posters for voting differently in the poll than you did. It just makes the board needlessly hostile. -b

I agree with this, I’m terms of being dominant over the in-season competition. However, in a head to head, I think 2019 Raptors beat 2024 Celtics.

if it was best individual performance then Curry or Jokic would win. but rest of their teams were not as strong as most of the other teams on this list

I think we can definitely rank the Nuggets over the Thunder, given that they went seven this year with a worse roster. Likewise, the Lakers and Nuggets had a tough series in the bubble, so I’d put them roughly equal given that Denver improved that roster.

I’m going with the Celtics due to their postseason record that year.

What's interesting is the Celtics are the clear poll winners here, yet they are also the team on that list many said had the easiest path to win the ring.

I guess those scenarios both could be true. They had it easy, but also would have beat all the other teams.
