Is LeBron for Donovan Mitchell a win win?

Now that the Lakers are sold and have their piece in Luka, with some overlapping roles for Bron and Luka..
Would this move make sense for both franchises?
-Luka gets a side kick
-Mitchell doesnt have to be a #1 option.
-Cleveland has a great cast of supporting pieces for LeBron in a wide open all time weak Eastern conference
-LeBron has proven experience carrying and making deep runs
-ESPN, ratings, LeBron to Cleveland 3.0 story lines for NBA
This is a block buster trade that would get all the eyes back on the NBA imo

If we're talking purely basketball reasons, this trade is way too risky for Cleveland. LeBron will be 41 next year. Sure, he has defied odds, but how much longer will that keep happening? It's hard to tell.
If LeBron wants to come back, it would be smart of him to sign as a free agent. Money isn't an issue for him anymore, but the possibility of adding rings can have a huge impact on him having a chance to be considered the best NBA player of all time by the majority of fans.

LeBron should opt-out and sign in Cleveland as a FA if he wants to come back.

why would you want to move Mitchell? why would Cleveland want to move Mitchell? and for a guy that already left that team 2 times...sheesh. cmon people. Cleveland can run it back and have a great record again, and a shot at a ring without Le-that guy.

signing for the vet min on a 64 win team after going on a rant about how rings arent everything would not have the impact that you think it would

Regardless of what he said, adding a ring or two would be a great achievement, and doing it in his home team is even bigger.
I'm sure deep inside he loves the thought of adding one more ring.

Cavs are a 2nd apron team, it's not even a legal trade. /thread
LBJ has a NTC and would never approve the deal. /thread
But anyways with all the facts outta the way, one year of 41 year old LeBron is not worth Mitchell in his prime with several years left on his deal.

You gotta be kidding me. LeBron might not even be worth Jarrett Allen at this point.

Question is... Do you feel you have a better shot with Mitchell or with LeBron?
No one is sold on the Cavs come playoff time.
Bron, at least, knows what it takes and has done it.
Personally, I don't doubt LeBron's ability, even when he'll be 41 by this time next year.
But you might prefer the chemistry and continuity that Spida gives you.

He’s never done it at age 41. The last time he got it done was 5 years ago.
Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce got it done, but it wasn’t a good move for the Nets to trade for them when they were past their primes.
Kevin Durant had got it done, but it wasn’t a good move for the Suns to trade for him when he was past his prime.
Shaq had got it done, but it wasn’t a good move for the Suns to trade for him when he was past his prime.

Well too bad Durant was traded already, otherwise the Cavs could have traded Evan Mobley for him. And then maybe Darius Garland for Chris Paul. Jarrett Allen for Al Horford and DeAndre Hunter for Kevin Love, then the Cavs just need a time travel machine to replace them with their 2015 counterparts and you have a dynasty.
Seriously though, why on earth would you trade a 28 year old, that just made the All NBA 1st team and placed 5th in MVP voting for 40 year old Lebron? This has to be the most insane trade proposal I have ever seen. Also why would Mitchell want to play 2nd banana next to Luka, he has been the 1st option his whole career?
Lebron is in the last year of his contract and has a player option. So if he really wanted to go to Cleveland again, he could just decline his player option and become a free agent. You want to trade a player for him that is under contract until 2028. The absolute maximum I would offer would be Hunter, Okoro & Strus and even here I'm not sure if they aren't better of to keep those 3 instead.

Some people say you'll never win with a small guard as your #1 option, and that LeBron is experienced with having been in 8 Finals. If you put him against the current crop of the East with all the injuries... Would anyone here bet money on the Hawks, NY, Philly, Detroit, Orlando v.s. Cavs with LeBron?
I am not saying you cant win with Spider, some people say that. I do get he's in his prime and all the things about the East being more open apply to him as well. I think another year with their core and the yoff exp will go a long way. I just think from a spectacle and all in point of view the Bron trade is interesting.

He’s never made the Finals in his 40s.
I remember people hyping the Nets when they got Paul Pierce and KG, people hyping the Suns when they got Shaq, and people hyping the Suns when they got KD.

Oh please. stop trying to gaslight us. It’s not even close, Cleveland would laugh and hang up immediately.

Mitchell is better than Lebron right now AND like 12 years younger lol
This might be the worst trade proposal I’ve ever seen.
