It’s gotta be the shoes - SGA’s round by round releases

Converse and Shai hatched a risky and novel campaign to release a new color way of SGA’s signature shoe each series the Thunder advanced, culminating with the release of the gold shoes after the Thunder won the championship.

Converse is in OKC for the parade today giving away free pairs.

In my opinion this was an extremely bold strategy that relied on the team advancing and is another feather in the cap of this great marketing team at Converse in conjunction with Shai and his team being willing to go along.

Have we ever seen something like this before in shoe releases?

I do not care for signature shoes, never did, but I like good looking shoes, and Shais shoes look more like these Vessi waterproof shoes, you know the shoes you would buy despite their terrible look, but because you are old and value practicality and waterproofness.

Haven't bought a signature in a while but I think I'll get a pair of these. Probably the greys.

all lame. just like nba's never ending jersey options.
all lame. including shai needing to take his shinning moment and sneak an add into it..(no pun)
will the sellout mentality never end?

next year SGA should sell the space on his face and tattoo a new company logo on it each round he advances.

if he makes the finals again, imagine the price of his forehead??
