Good value, he'll have plenty of chances to prove he's worth more than that over the next two years while Miami retools.

Great contract, he’s gonna play his value back up to NBA starter, he looked great in the playoffs. Miami has been great for recouping his value.

Thats a great deal for Miami. Lonzo ball gets 20M without showing up. Mitchell actually plays and was solid as a backup

Why? Miami still drafted a point guard - one projected by most to go late lottery

I think one small guard is enough. If you had Mitchell and Clayton, it would be hard to play them together.

Still ridiculous they we gave up on him so early just to dump Vezenkov's deal and dump salary to sign DeRozan, even though they probably didn't need to.

Love how the Kings drafted this guy, let him go for absolutely nothing while he developed into the type of guy who would help them a lot.

This seems like amazing value for Miami. I can't believe the someone wouldn't have tried to poach him for a raiser over $12M per.

After being traded out of the country, Davion quickly woke his game up, and finished the season showing off his game. 26 years old and just getting started.

Decent enough deal for Miami and very tradeable on that contract for a potential bigger fish/trade down the track (which I suspect is what Miami's ultimate plan is)

Looked like OKC could use a backup PG during the finals to relieve some of the basic ball-handling duties from SGA/Williams. Thought of Davion as a nice, cheap match that would fit in well, but alas he stays in Mia.

Probably didn’t need to? I’m a big DeMar fan, but he’s a janky at best fit for the modern game and signing him reeks of Ranadive meddling. Terrible addition that I bet was the last straw for Fox that made him decide “get me the **** out of here!!!”

At least Davion now gets the chance to start.

They have Ajay Mitchell and Nikola Topic who are both 6'4+ as point guards who project to be better than Davion in the long run.

Decent contract. I’ll wait until closer to the deadline to start formulating Davion to Portland proposals
