Is there a starter in the NBA right now that is not worth $20M/yr?
Ofcourse, we have to exclude poor non-playoff teams

LOL, of course.
Lakers alone have 2 starters who don't worth even MLE.
Entire Bucks starting 5 except for Lillard and Giannis.
I guess 2 or 3 starters for Miami.
Conley for Minny (I love him, but come on, except for 1 or 2 games he was a huge liability this postseason).
Has THJ started for Pistons?
Whoever started at 3 for Cavs
etc
Vita sine libertāte, nihil

Thats aroung 15 % of the cap? So we are talking about a offense only player that doesnt produce 15% of the teams stats. So basically a player below the general average of around 15 ppg, 6 rpg, 3 apg, 1,8 spg+bpg etc. Of course its much more complicated than that if the player offers other things that are not recorded by the stats such as team or individual defense, shot creation, spacing, boxing out etc.
So the prototype of a starter that doesnt warrant a 15% of cap is a roleplayer that sits in the corner and shoots threes if he is open and plays mediocre defense. Or a rim running C that that is not that great at defending the rim or the pnr.

Here is the thing we won 47 games with Oubre starting in 2023-2024 and we lost 58 games with him starting in 2024-2025 I love how the OP differentiates a playoff team like it matters.

We didn't miss the playoffs because of him and we didn't make the playoffs because of him. This is why you don't pay these guys 20M+ they are just place holders and cogs dependent on what is happening around them.

You still need them but I can give you 5 starters from playoff teams and those players would easily lose 60+ games.

Taurean Prince -SF
Rui Hachimura - PF
Jaxson Hayes - Center
