Luke is a smart player. Really happy that he is getting paid. Bummed to see him go. Must mean that Horford is coming back to the Celtics.

I like Luke. We'll see what the guarantees/options are. On the surface though, this is a bad move. Reminds me of that year they splurged on McDermott and a bunch of other JAGs.

Fortunately for them they learned from their mistakes post Kawhi and prioritized picks over staying fully a treadmill team. But this moves wreaks of their old ways. Since Kawhi trade, this has not been a good front office on the overall balance of things IMO.

Solid pickup, I will never forget his recent highlight game in playoffs, where he was so dominant and had like 6 blocks. Prolly one of the games that got him this contractual raise.

Finally, a backup center who actually does center like things. Block shots, set solid screens, protect the rim and rim roll. These were all things Zach Collins sucked at.

Excellent signing for the Spurs.

Luke had the 4th best net rating in the league last year, and he and Tatum created the 2nd most points per possession in PnR plays (after Jokic-Murray).
