$16 per year isn't too crazy, it's a gamble but Detroit desperately needs shooting. I guess he did the right thing in opting out, gets a guaranteed $48 million as opposed to $19.

Thats basically the money they were going to give to Beasley before his parlay scandal.
Robinson can shoot but he's a bum. Cade will make him look better than what he is.

considering it was like option D for the pistons i love it. pistons desperately needed shooting and they got an elite shooter while getting off of fontecchio's contract who was pretty underwhelming last season.

This one was rumored but i guess they had to iron out some of the details of the sign and trade.
With the Beasley stuff they had to get a shooter but he seems like the exact archetype jb loves to park on the bench because they're turnstiles on defense.
Kudos to Duncan getting paid though.

His agent deserves his jersey retired in the rafters for the paydays he's gotten a fringe player like Robinson .

The Pistons were pretty low in 3pt usage and a shade below average when they did take it. He's a nice low-volume guy who can positively affect their spacing, and that's a VERY reasonable deal.
Nice.

Lavert and Robinson are >> than Beasley and THJ, although Robinson is kinda mid.

He was way overpaid here and struggles on defense, even if he tries. He can be an underrated playmaker with the ball, but that's not his game mostly. He can get red hot and then fall off a cliff. After he got paid, he fell off a cliff, kind of came back in the playoffs, and then ended up somewhere in the middle. Miami tried to get out of his contract several times, but nobody bit. I'm happy he is moving on, but I still wish him the best of luck and thanks for a couple of Finals runs. Detroit runs on Duncan now.

He’s a good fit for them but that’s a lot of money.
They effectively dumped a $7.5m bad salary for this year but the last two years at $16m aren’t great.

16M to a guy who was catching DNPs on a play-in team. Thats quite a choice for a 1 dimensional guy...

Everyone's forgetting about Jaden Ivey. Look at his shooting splits before he broke his leg. Factoring that into him getting THJ's minutes as well as some lead guard possessions and these signings are built around getting the best out of both Cade and Jaden.

Do you see Miami getting any takers for Rozier or will they just have to eat his contract for one more year?

Jaden is a fun, fun player to watch. He’s just starting to unlock his potential imo

Lmao this has to be the most accurate representation of the Duncan Robinson experience. I like that the Pistons have a ton of youth so they won’t need to rely on Duncan but you pretty much nailed it.
