Now the Bucks are set to pay ten times that for Dame over the same time frame.

I guess their 0-4 lifetime record vs the Pacers in the playoffs means that much to them.

But hey, I hear Malcolm Brogdon is available to fill their vacant point guard spot for league minimum...

They are extremely desperate. The moves they make are basically to pacify Giannis for ten minutes at a time. Waived a guy who wasn't going to play next year so they could sign a guy who can play next year, meaning perhaps one more season before the team falls off a cliff. It's year by year for this franchise, absolutely no long term thinking anymore.

They effectively traded Dame with an achilles for Turner, who was starting C on a team that went 7 games to OKC in the finals.
