I personally thought that Thibs should be replaced but only for a clear upgrade. Replacing him with a retread like Mike Brown who has failed to show championship level success without Lebron is preposterous.

Mike Brown has never won a championship as a head coach.

He will do okay the first year or 2 but after year 3 or 4 players start to tune him out.

Brown's ceiling is Thibs--slightly better on offense, slightly worse on defense.

This is what happens when the owner fires the head coach without having a plan in place to hire somebody clearly better.

less minutes for starters. more use of the bench. that's basically his marching orders.

knicks are lucky though because of the injuries in the east. they can still make the finals and should be the favorites.

thibs had to overcome poor defense from his 1 and 5 position. i felt he actually had the team overachieve. but we'll see if a new voice changes things.

if no finals then it's considered a failure, right?

They should have just hired that chick. Atleast that would have been something innovative

Hated both his stints in CLE but each were long ago, he has probably evolved since then.

Has 4 rings as an assistant coach.

We'll see if Borrego becomes the associate head coach, may make it an easier pill for some to swallow.

he's one of the few people to be head coach of both the knicks and lakers.
