Can't believe Ainge is going to allow this clownshow. This kid wasn't even the top prospect in his draft. Absolutely insane

All so he can not get a top-four pick once again.

Someone needs to tell him that tanking summer league has no draft implications lol

Guest coach = "here, play some time with the ball, then leave us alone, please"

The Jazz are obviously trying to win over Omar Cooper and make Ace feel comfortable with the organization. However, there's a thin line between bending over backwards and bending over the other way. Omar Jr. will get to sit on the bench, give guys high-5s and feel like he's involved. SLC Summer League will be broadcast on ESPN, so you can bet ESPN will continue to spin some yarn on their Ace/draft narrative.
It seems that Omar Cooper is something similar to Rich Paul, a guy trying to get set up in the business and using Ace for leverage. Ace must be telling the Jazz, "Take care of my guy Omar."

Yeah, maybe he gets to go out on the floor and hand Ace the ball during warm-ups.

Jazz look so desperate sucking up to an 18 yo and his "team." Ace might turn out to be a nice player but he's not a Wemby or a Flagg type prospect.

Rather than expand, perhaps they should relocate Utah to Vegas. If it's that bad trying to get guys to want to play there, move the team.

Imagine building an empire with your friend and some dude in Utah belittles your accomplishments for no reason on a message board.
Paul never "used" Lebron.

it's not omar cooper, the manager. it's sharife cooper's brother, omar jr and he's essentially a glorified ball boy - retrieving balls, rebounding for shooters, etc. the kid wants to get into coaching and will probably return to his previous school where he has a year of eligibility remaining to coach rather than play. this is simply a nice gesture by the jazz.
