Yo, if I was runnin' the Lakers squad, I'd snatch Al Horford quick, no cap, drop that BAE bag on him, make it stick. But Jaxson Hayes? Market ain't poppin' like that, why rush the play? Feels like they doubtin' the Horford chase, from afar, it's lookin' shady, Weezy way.

I hope there's another option as the real backup center

The guy is beyond washed. And as a former Mavs fan I liked him when he could still play at an NBA level

If you want to develop and travel the world, playing in Euroleague would be a more interesting and better experience.

NBA and all other sports leagues love retreads, especially when they’re only 25 and athletic. He’d be fine landing a job elsewhere.

He's not highly sought after by other teams

Not bad. He can be a lob threat in the regular season. The Lakers were winning when he was their only center. Come playoff time he's useless, but that's what they are hoping Ayton is for.

Retaining talent is something the Lakers have struggled at so this is good. He knows the system and will be much needed.
