Cam shouldn't, he's a ballhogging out of shape son of a gun. However, the Bulls can't look Giddey and his agent in the face and not offer more than they paid Patrick Williams. Maybe had they paid P-Will 40 million over five years instead of 90. They have to pay Giddey. Freaking Caruso won a ring and signed an extension with OKC.

Kinda surprised Giddey can't get $30 million. Not so much with Cam, guys like him aren't getting paid much nowadays.

Not a great defender. Had 1 year of his best 3pt shooting in a contract year.... Didn't impact winning. I wouldn't want to give him 30 million and nobody has any money left

Yep. All about the leverage! His only leverage is to sign the QO and try again next year. There's no money out there so Bulls are right to hold firm presumably around 25 per. Giddey is no sure thing. He looked really good post ASB, but there's no guarantee that carries over. And if it doesn't and he reverts back to pre-ASB Giddey, then even $25 per will be a disasterous contract

IF Karnišovas hasany brain left, he has to low ball Giddey. I know he is one of their main assets, but it is asinine how GMs turn assets into negative assets just by not wanting to lose an asset. We saw Giddey in a play in, dude can not play any defense, if you give him 30 mil a year, Bulls fans I know will be so freaking mad.

Will be very interesting to see if these guys bet on themselves or take the guaranteed money.

Neither Cam or Giddey play any defense.

And with how we just saw from all final 4 teams in the playoffs, defense and not being a liability on that end of the floor is incredibly valuable.

Money won’t be there next year either. The apron rules are set, you can only really pay 2 people then everyone else needs to be decent contracts. They’d be better offer taking 60 over 3 years with player option for year 3 because they haven’t shown they can be THE GUY. This gets them fair money now, an easy out if they develop further or a safety of an extra year of good pay if they don’t.

They need to understand who they bidding against, which is not many. Too many GMS outbid while bidding against themselves. That front office made too many bad moves already, they need to smarten up for once. I like Giddey, I was one of his last believers back in 2024 season, but guy needs to bed be honest with himself.

And then there was "the agents are not so smart" in Noel. Remember him. From generational wealth offered to out of the league.

That is the case with not signing what is on the table.

Bulls' fan here-big believer in Giddey (wasn't first half of the year, but I think he's legit)
I would hope we can get him for 5 years and less than $30 million/year

Cam is a Lou Williams, Giddey...he's going to have to do it again to prove he's really a fringe star.

There is no market for Kuminga either. It’s almost as if the market wants players who are good.
