KD-LeBron-Nash: The new Mind The Game episode is must watch
2 parts to the episode. It's a movie length episode overall.
I think the best episode to date. Great to hear from KD in this context.

So how much longer before Lebron throws Redick under the bus and replaces him with Nash?

So many little pieces were interesting. I love the parts around the mid-range game. They even shout out Julius Randle for his playoff performance from the midrange.
Things that you're just not going to hear from other platforms.

How refreshing. A podcast that is clean , respectful and fun without click-bait and drama. Pure basketball talk from the best basketball minds.

What an awesome ambiance and interview. I was surprised and respect Lebron being vulnerable and talking about his going right midrange struggles and it f'ing with his mind.
I've gone through similar things with technique on certain instruments at a higher level, or in boxing. Sometimes, it's just tough to find the right way to do something, no matter how much you practice it, then you just feel it one day, and it'll be gone the next day; infuriating.
It's so cool how candid these interviews are.
On that same note, it's also nice to hear these guys talk about how important midrange is for stars, just like they said. I've been telling a couple of my buddies and they (and some on this forum) have been denying this for years, for whatever reason.
Lebron at 33:58 - "Which is the same thing that India is doing offensively!" a little slip there
It was also interesting hearing about the little guys and now how they must be able to play help defense (aka on taller guys) because of all
of the switching now. That makes sense. That thread that mentioned middle-ball (not small or tall ball) was onto something.

Is LeBron now the GOAT of podcasting as well?

Ah so Bron found a new pod partner. I'm so glad he picked Nash. He's a forgotten legend.

I've grown to really like KD. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He speaks his mind and doesn't hold back. Dude is always dropping truth bombs.

Who was that guy they kept referencing that wasn't prioritizing basketball and kept making distractions, and why wasn't Kyrie invited to this podcast?? Hmm...

Yeah Bron was also sheepish in the corner when Durant and Nash were talking about how an FT% in the 80s ain't it, they think in the 90s.
Midrange is absolutely still very important in the NBA, they just worked out who can and can't take them based on their %s in game. Ultimately midrange is the best point to playmake from in the game.
I like what KD said. Role players should be layups and 3s to provide spacing so that the star offensive talent and playmakers are enabled to operate in the midrange.

Things went to far with the "next chapter" memes. Ultimately some people forgot what a legend KD is because of the GSW move. It's turning around though.

Nash probably would be a lot better now based on what he learned not to do in Brooklyn.
JJ knows he won't have a long career with the Lakers but wants that on his resume when he eventually is basketball operations guy for a small market team.

Doing that would shift too much of the focus to LBJ and Kyrie in Cleveland. They did a great job of giving KD a platform to voice his opinion while LBJ and Nash chimed in.
Definitely would be interesting to get an episode with Kyrie though.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

KD literally gave the Nets an ultimatum to fire Nash or trade him. You can clearly tell that Nash is holding back from calling him out on his BS.
I respect the version of KD that is a basketball savant, but make no mistake, he is a snake.
