To only win 2 championships. Getting humiliated by the Mavs and Spurs in the Finals. Only beat a young OKC squad and was going to lose to the Spurs if not for a miracle Ray Allen three that saved Lebrons legacy at the time. Was LeBron a failure in Miami?

Absolutely it was a failure. Not only did Lebron stack the decks in his favor he decided to stay in a dog **** conference that would be weak for years.

It wasn't a failure, it just felt like they under-delivered based on the hype machine those 3 created themselves. even if they only won a single ring, it's still not a failure.

a Ray Allen 3 away saved them from being 1-3 lol

people thought they were gonna go 82-0. they thought the heat could pick a fan out from the stands to play point and still win lol.

2014-After compiling the margins of victory for every NBA championship team, Joyner found that the Spurs’ 70-point total margin of victory over the Heat was the highest ever recorded, shattering the previous record set by the Boston Celtics in 1965 (65 total points).

They also hold top 5 worst single -game -final loss record ( in 2013).

Won two titles, and sure, that is something, but they literally packed two out of top 5 best players in that moment and added another top 15 player, on East, where second best team had kind a nobody. Like, Pacers second best player was who? Roy Hibbert?

4 Finals in 4 years is never a failure, even if they lost every time.

No rational person with critical thinking skills thought they were going 82-0.

This isn’t 2k. There are actually other teams competing to do the same thing you are.

It’s kinda ridiculous that 2 championships in a 4 year span is potentially viewed as a failure. What? Tell any other fan that they win back to back titles and see how happy they are.

I got not one title, but two, I’m not happy unless I have more. Ridiculous.

And to what LeBron said? Why does that matter? Every player at the beginning of the year believes they can win the title and go into the year thinking like that. If they’re not, what’s the point of what they’re doing? Then they’re just playing like “I’m just playing for the money, even though what I’m doing this year flat out doesn’t matter”

Not a failure. They made the Finals 4 straight years and won 2 of them.

Now, if you're judging it based on LeBron promising 8 championships? Sure. But that's hardly a fair metric. Overhyped, definitely. Overpromised, sure. But failure? No.

No to many things have to go right to win a chip. He was young and just excited to play with his buddies. Folks still harping on that is sad. We've all said crazy things when we were younger. Bottom line they went to four finals and won two chips in his four years in Miami.

This question has been asked many times. Consensus is that is was a disappointment, but not a failure. The Heatles didn't live up to the hype but they did make 4 straight finals, won back to back championships, dominated the East, won Lebron his first championship, cemented the concept of Heat culture and gave us unintentional hilarity from Chris Bosh.

If the goal was to propel Lebron as a credible alternative to Jordan in the GOAT discussion then Lebron's decision to go to Miami was a failure. His tenure in Miami ended up with him losing ground to MJ in the GOAT debate.

No matter what happened, they went to the Finals 4 straight years and won back-to-back titles, which is not something very many teams can say. So I'd rate it as a success

I think underwhelming is a better word to describe them. Came in as probably the most hyped up team of all time, and they ended up as arguably a borderline top 10 team of all time. If Allen misses that 3 and they go 1/4 that would have been a real failure.

Sugar Ray hitting a Three is not a miracle lol it's his bread & butter.

No it was not a failure. Dirk was on a tear 2011 and the whole Mavs team was really good. Spurs are Spurs. But, compared to the other 2 rings he won, the Heatles ones are the weakest. And still LeBron was a beast and annihilated lots of teams during his run with Miami. No one saved him.

Failure? No. Disappoint? Yes.

They still won 2 rings, so it's definitely not a failure, But, people expected 2017 Warriors level of dominance, and they never reached that level. So, I guess that's a disappointing part.
