A team (don't know which one) needs to go crazy to get Giannis

No one knows, but on paper next year's Finals should be "cheap".
Tatum, Tyrese, Lillard, Kyrie out; Curry, LeBron, KD fading into the sunset.
Wemby not there just yet.

So, unless all teams are assuming a OKC martial parade, the time is now.
26-27, I'm convinced Lakers will be very strong (Dodgers are a blueprint) and Boston will be back at it, too. Factor Cavs, Mavs, Indiana.

I'm talking about the kind of offer that would make Bucks FO call Giannis and say "look, this is the best for both".

Players like Giannis at a reasonable age don't grow on trees.

Looks like we've found next seasons narrative for a fake championship case. "25-26 ring doesn't count, entire league is injured, cheap win". We all love to find ways to invalidate a winner, asterisks next to each championship!

And while I agree with your take on Giannis, I don't think there is a team out there that wouldn't have to completely dismantle their roster to acquire him. It's the catch 22 in trading for stars. Unless the team trading for him is extremely desperate to get off of some negative assets, fair superstar deals usually ravage the receiving roster for a season or two until they can completely re-tool the roster around them. Houston was the best place to make a fair deal and still end up successful fast, but they went for KD. Probably because he was cheaper and the deal wouldn't ruin the entire squad acquiring him.

I have not said nor think that.

That's what I took from your opening statement, sorry it didn't translate the way you wanted it.

This will always be true for all rings anyway. Guys from previous eras were fortunate that internet dudes couldn't consolidate and agree on opinions regarding the validity of individual championships.

Regarding Giannis, yes, similar to how when the Raptors won, it takes a bit of luck and, especially, guts because it's a full on effort for one year. Though, of course, Giannis would most likely stay longer than Kawhi.

Giannis doesn't want to leave. It's clear by now.
If Giannis doesn't want to leave, the fanbase is happy.
Nobody in the organisation will have the guts to trade away Giannis if the fanbase doesn't want to. They will burn down the arena.
Move on. Giannis isn't leaving.

I took from the opening statement that with injuries to some of the major players on potential championship teams, now is the time for a team step up and try to capitalize on it.

That's what I tried to convey, yep. English is tricky to me (3rd language).

PS Don't you guys use "Anteto"? I know it's pretty lame when you can just call him "Giannis", but at least in Spain is the most common way of referring to him.

I've not heard Anteto, but I got what you were saying. Your English was just fine.

Funny thing is only team that can trade for Giannis without weakening their team enough to limit their championship odds...

Is OKC...

...And since they are fine just keeping their team, and dont need to stack, because their competitors have lesser talent/team construct wise, then it doesn't make sense for them.

Every other team that would want Giannis to win would basically gut their team of alot of needed players due to the matching salary/necessary asset needed.

I thought first it's some future draft prospect, or some probably South American player that was never drafted and could be signed as a free agent .

To the actual topic. I don't know how more obvious it can be that Milwaukee does not wannt to trade Giannis and that Giannis wants to stay in Milwaukee, as long as they manage to build a relatively decent team around him.

Who is Anteto?
If he is an undrafted rookie, he won’t help anyone, won’t have enough experience.

Edit: Apparently this is Giannis.

Bucks are keeping Giannis. Nobody in the NBA could provide enough value and have any semblance of a roster left over. East is weak, Bucks can compete

It’s so strange man lol. Basically either all the championships have an asterisk, or none of them do. I prefer the no asterisk options, teams can only play who’s in front of them, regardless. And there are injuries every single year it is what it is.

If Giannis wants the championship and wants to become a living legend in a huge market then he knows what time it is... the NEW YORK KNICKS time.

is "Anteto" some Nigerian slang that 99% of this board doesn't know?

I would be wary of him. His game won't age well. He's never going to transform into even a slightly below average shooter. And he needs to play with a stretch 5. He doesn't like to run pick and rolls (which I thought was going to be unstoppable with him and Dame)...
