This is interesting but extremely hard to answer.

This all depends of who you play with take a guy like KPC who was is in orlando last year. Without jokics gravity and Orlando's awful 3 point shooting he struggle big Time.

P.j in the hornets vs pj Washington in Dallas with Luka is 2 completely different players.

I think there is alot of great 3 and D wings all over the league almost every team has one.

The best 3 and D player is Myles Tunder or Mayne Jaren Jackson any other center like them.Not because of skill but because of value at Center position.

Career 43% shooter from 3 on 6 3PA per 36 min while being a terrific defender and defensive playmaker. Advanced defensive impact stats love him.

Carter Bryant to join that group very soon. Camara would be near top of list if he could shoot

Patrick Williams should be on this list, elite defender but he plays like he doesn't enjoy basketball. Also not really a movement shooter but a 'he's so boring defenses ignore him' shooter.

The better question is how much SHOULD an elite 3&D player be paid. Personally i say 10-15% of the cap.

From some of the names already mentioned, it looks like we first need to define what is a 3&D player

Aaron Nesmith should get a shoutout. Compared to some of the other guys mentioned, his primary role is truly 3 & D and he's great at both of them.

Imo Cam Johnson, Bane and Aaron Wiggins I was considering are snipers but not good enough standout defenders (Nesmith used to be in this group but improved his D).


And there are guys who are both great defenders and shooters, but they have iso scoring ability so disqualified from this 3 n D role, since they are star level (Trey Murphy will soon be too good for 3nd too).


There's alot of excellent defenders who fail at this cuz of their lack of shooting ( Dyson Daniels, Suggs, Camara, Thybulle, Smart, Thompson twins etc).

Then just cross reference that list by ppg or 3 pt fg%.

Herb Jones and Trey Murphy are definitely on the list. Mikal was the prototypical 3&D wing however his defence has fallen off especially when switching
