Whoever didn’t make an all NBA team

Just starting 5

Average bench.

PG: ?
SG: ?
SF: ?
PF: ?
C: ?

My estimate is probably the overwhelming favorite to win it all…

For reference:

1st Team
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Donovan Mitchell
Jayson Tatum
Giannis Antetokounmpo
Nikola Jokić

2nd Team
Jalen Brunson
Stephen Curry
Anthony Edwards
LeBron James
Evan Mobley

3rd Team
Cade Cunningham
Tyrese Haliburton
James Harden
Karl-Anthony Towns
Jalen Williams

I'm going to assume people who wouldn't have qualified for the award due to less games played (Luka, Paolo, AD, etc) don't count:

PG: Darius Garland
SG: Norman Powell
SF: Franz Wagner (or KD)
PF: Pascal Siakim
C: Domantas Sabonis

Yea, I think this team wins with an average bench.

I kind of figured that would be overpowered.

I wonder how many teams you would need to go down to have to legit think about it. Where it’s no longer a landslide. This team probably sweeps the playoffs.

going based off ringer top 100, 36-40 is sengun, wagner, white, maxey, OG. that team easily wins it all.

46-50 is: Barnes, Bane, Jalen Johnson, LeMelo, Draymond. that team has a chance to win it all but its not certain by any means.

so somewhere around 10th team.

If it's KD they can win. If its Franz, they cant.

That being said, I still think OKC is better even if it's KD. That team has major issues, namely no POA defender, a cone in Domas, and generally just 3 starters who are easy to pick on.

Second round exit at best. Who's playing defense? Sabonis sure as hell isn't.

I completely forgot about Bam Adebayo. He qualifies and played almost the entire year. Still on POA defender but that would make them formidable inside.

Now? Really weak. over half a decade ago would have been extremely tough.

I don’t think Powell or Wagner got a single vote. I think the five next guys in the voting were JJJ, Zubac, Sabonis, Garland, and Siakam.

Was also confused to see Powell. (KD didn't get a vote either).

Hard to make a starting lineup with Garland and 4 bigs though. The next guards were Trae Young and Devin Booker.

The closest I can get to a starting lineup using the guys voting for is:

Garland
Booker
Siakam
JJJ
Sengun

If it's just me picking guys:

Garland
Booker
KD
Siakam
Zubac

I'd have Ja, Derrick White, Dame, Jaylen Brown, Jamal Murray, Bane, Maxey, before I considered Norm Powell. The guy had a great season coming off screens and hitting shots, but his game is pretty limited.
