Twelve-time All-Star Chris Paul has agreed to a deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, CAA's Steven Heumann, Ty Sullivan and Jessica Holtz told ESPN. Paul had multiple suitors, but chose the contending Clippers and their shared history in L.A. for his likely final, 21st NBA season.

Not even close. These guys are over themselves and have no shot at a ring. It’s more of a feel good story of a 55 ish win team that knows they are playing with house money.

Sheesh, might as well rename Intuit Dome to the geriatric center for this season.

if you’re gonna build a team with vets this the way to do it. The depth on the Clippers is unreal, and they will always have someone elite running point

I have a feeling that this is the year for CP3 and Harden.

Welcome back CP3, let’s get it!

Ehh it’s a low stress season for this team given the age, but hope we can still make it competitive every night, I think we can.

Imagine the statistical year of guys like Zu and Collins with CP3 instead of Kris Dunn or KPJ off the bench at PG during staggered minutes? He’s also a huge wealth of knowledge for young guys. It’s a “Last Dance” with almost no chance of a ring but should be incredibly fun.

And IF they somehow pull off a 3% chance title… it would be storybook for the franchise and legacy of Harden and CP3.

I like it. History with the Clips, reunited with Harden, playing for a contender.

With the Clips (or Kawhi, specifically) health is always a concern, but they're really good on paper. Might come out of the West if OKC gets a championship hangover and Denver can't put it together.

A team built around frauds and washed up players, nice.

There's insane pressure for this team to win it all next season, if they don't it'll affect how remember so many of these guys that helped define a generation. They have all the pieces, it's go big or go home time.

Would be so **** cool if they pull it off. I’m rooting for it. If they can stay healthy they’re loaded. Fingers crossed

There isn't, really, everyone knows they're all past their prime.

I doubt they can sustain multiple playoff series with that roster. Still great to see him back in LA

Time to bring back Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.

Yup. I expect them to be a great regular season team though (50-55 wins). Yeah, they are old as dirt, but every move they have made so far is an upgrade from last year's roster. Playoffs though? That is another story.

Pressure? They are probably a top 5 team but nobody will pick them to win it all. And they are the oldest team in the league now and injury prone. It’s realistically as low pressure as it gets for how loaded up they are.

Does anyone outside of clipper's management think this team even has a snow balls chance of winning?

This is the deepest team in the league with multiple all-time greats on the roster. Leonard/Harden/CP3, and then an insane compliment of guys around them. Their bench unit is filled with starter quality guys. They should be expected to win it all, or lose a close series to the Thunder. There's no team outside the Thunder that should pose a thread.

When you got Kawhi on the roster, you need regular season workhorses to make it through and seed comfortably. Say what you want about Harden or even CP at 40yo, they are still productive guys in the 82 game grind. Especially with how competitive it will be next year in the West. With that said, this and the Beal pickup is precisely why they keep stacking the deck for depth behind the big guns. They know they've got an older roster and will need to monitor games and minutes.

I think this is an awesome pickup given the defensive pieces he'll slot next to in addition to all the highflying athletes with Dunn, Collins, DJJ and even Zu will benefit from having another PnR partner.
