Good news is he's going back to DraftExpress, which is better for us fans.

Wow, pretty surprised to hear this. Great opportunity for Jeremy Woo who is solid, wonder if they poach any of the excellent independent draft analysts out there. Givony is good but he'll probably be better outside of the ESPN umbrella where you can tell he has to nudge certain narratives and be careful about what he says

Should have never went to ESPN in the first place. DX used to be GOATED, but then the content moved to ESPN's trash outlet

Being independent of ESPN is always a good thing, because they suck poop water, and are major ruiners.

ESPN just wasted his talent anyway. He should've been on their draft coverage.

ESPN would much rather give Big Perk screen time at the draft than him.

Re: OT: Givony out at espn
He was certainly underutilized at ESPN.
As someone I know once said, "create your own ecosystem".
He will be best served doing that, will hit his target customers in an easier way, will profit more, and have more freedom of speech as well... so overall the quality of his content will be vastly improved.

Found Sam Veccine and Rafael Barlowe better than him TBH, in general, the market offees better talent then ESPN.

If they offered an extension and he turned it down, he might be finally getting the job Marty Blake used to have with the NBA. Jon's good people.

I don't ever remember Givony on realgm. He owned draftexpress though, and it was the premier draft site.

Is 'unable to find alignment on my value to the company ' code for didn't offer enough money in the extension? Could also be more autonomy, room for growth or all of the above.
Anyway good that he will be back at DX.

Good, one less reason for me to ever go to ESPN now.

The difference between ESPN now and ESPN in 2010 - as a person that was at least part of it - is remarkable.
They've jettisoned so much talent.

My unpopular opinion is that genocide is bad and we should speak out against it.

It’s definitely code for they didn’t offer enough money. Which to me means he would’ve stayed in a perfect world.
The value of a draft expert is directly proportional to the value of the draft itself. The college game has been struggling to find household names for a long time now. Last year’s draft was terrible for ratings because no one besides fanatics like us knew any of the players. If Risarcher weren’t 6’9” or whatever he could walk down most Main Streets in America and not be bothered. With NIL deals now and players jumping from team to team name recognition has actually gotten worse in the men’s game, which was always regional and has now been destroyed by the Big 5 Conference shuffle. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not blaming players for getting paid. I think the old system worked except the schools making billions off of these platters needed to be the ones paying, not random boosters. Add to that more international players Americans don’t have access to, and I think ESPN was probably smart to lowball NBA draft experts. They can get similar coverage with their regular telecast.

Thank god. Dude completely wasted several years of his life at that hell hole.
Draftexpress becomes goated again and the fans most of all benefit from it.
