Last Playin Games-Huge Consequences This Year

I know this is months ago, but I was just thinking how much these two games affected so many franchises
Memphis beat Dallas, then got stomped by OKC
Miami beat ATL, then got stomped by Clev
-Miami lost their pick, would have been #10 or so (LOTS of good players there to build with for the Heat-or THEY would have moved up to #1)
-ATL lost their pick anyway, since SA owned it unprotected. BUT, they got the Sac pick, but wouldn't have if Memphis would have lost. ATL then used the #13 pick to rob NO, getting a super-sweet shot at the 2026 lotto
-Memphis lost the #14 pick
-OKC ended up with the #15 pick
-Wash ended up with the #18, which they traded to Utah
-Dallas, of course, was the big winner by losing, getting Flagg
Those two games affected Miami, Memphis, Sac, ATL, Dallas, OKC, Wash all directly and NO (ATL trading the #13 they got from Sac), Utah (traded to move up to #18) indirectly. Plus they moved around a few teams in the lotto (my Bulls, SA, Port) but it was just a spot.
So, my question is-did Miami and Memphis make a mistake by winning the Playin game and losing their picks?
