In the 2025 NBA Draft, Carter Bryant went at #14 to Spurs. And he looks like a great pick. Assuming the top 7 were all correct picks (in any order), which teams from #8 to #13 are going to regret not drafting Carter Bryant?
#8 Nets drafted Egor Demin
#9 Raptors drafted Collin Murray-Boyles
#10 Suns drafted Khaman Maluach
#11 Grizzlies drafted Cedric Coward
#12 Bulls drafted Noa Essengue
#13 Pelicans drafted Derik Queen

There's a bit of a built-in assumption here, that some teams will regret not drafting him. Bit early still.

Maybe, but his ceiling right now looks like high end 3/D role player. His D looks pretty tenacious from what I saw in SL, but his offense has a ton of room for improvement. If he becomes a competent shooter and keeps up the D then it is not far-fetched. He communicates A LOT for someone his age on the defensive end which is impressive

I really like him, but I’m on the Yang train.

Maybe wait until next December or something when teams have already played 20 games and we have a sample size of actual NBA basketball.
He had some nice flashes in summer league and looks very talented, but he averaged 7 and 4 on below average shooting. Nevertheless, I take summer league with a grain of salt, it's helpful but not accurately predictive of how players will translate to the next level.

Still can't believe he fell to us.
Thrilled we have him!

How exactly does he look like a great pick? He was pretty awful in summer league. Had more turnovers than FGs. Plus he's a low ceiling player, likely 3+D at best. Yang, selected right after Bryant, looked like a way better pick.

Blazers will regret it as well as they traded their 11th pick. I like Yang, but I rather have Bryant.

He has not shown much, so the idea of this thread is absurd. There is also likely a pick in the 20s and 30s that will likely be better than lotto picks.

Why do people even try to evaluate draft picks before they've even played an NBA game? You don't have a clue who will be good or who won't.

Who knows? Maybe he'll get it going with the actual team. I just think it's a bit premature with him looking like dreadful on offense in the summer league to be talking about who will regret not taking him. He has some potential, but he's got to show something interesting first.

i don't know if anyone will regret it and frankly i don't care.
i'm thrilled to have him and he has the potential to develop into a contributor to a contending team.

The guy that had more TO’s than FGM in SL? A little premature

Like others have said, this is extremely premature... But if we're making premature takes, I'm excited to see how badly some people are going to revise their takes on Egor Demin once he has 1-2 years under his belt and has developed further physically.

This thread is peak offseason.
At least let players play an NBA game before starting this kind of talk.

LOL, what kind of thread is this? Maybe all teams will regret. Maybe no teams will. Maybe he will be nothing and the Spurs will regret taking him. Who freaking knows. The draft was a month ago.

The Spurs have drafted quite a bit of busts lest people forget.

Yang will be a star, Bryant seems more like a low ceiling, rotational player with good intangibles
Ur statement isn't gonna age well
I see other guys on this list (Demin at #8 is a reach and a gamble) whom teams might regret picking but Yang? Imo all the teams on ur list are gonna regret not picking Yang. weird example..

I didn't think he'd be available at 14. Considered him top 9 at least. The rest will have to play out.
We filled a position of long term need at 3 with BPA which is best of both worlds.
