Dallas one of the deepest teams in the league / really hope they get it done this year, I'd have a blast trolling the Nico/Mavs/Luka trolls

I think he is worth it. However, isn’t this a lot for a bench player since Cooper is on the team.

Will they trade one of their forwards/bigs?

Lively, Gafforr, Davis, Flagg, Washington, Marshall and Caleb Martin all probably want to get a certain amount of minutes, that won't be available with that depth.

Worth every penny, sadly he will be underutilized on current roster.

Solid contract for solid starter. Should return a 1st when they decide to move him next offseason

Why exactly would he be moved next offseason

He might not start but he'll finish games

Flagg and AD. I cant see him and AD both being there next year, and AD will be chosen over him as the Mavs dont have their 1st in 2027 and will be trying to compete and not rebuild. This was the tank season if they were ever gonna do it with Kyrie injured and a rookie Flagg. They shoulda traded AD this summer

Doesn't that only apply to deals/money accumulated while they were together?

The Mavs are the next team who are going to require an apron fire sale, after Cleveland & NYK (Boston). This isn't sustainable.

And the Mavs are in less position to contend now, w/ Kyrie's injury, & Flagg's age. They're trying the 2 timelines, which doesn't work as well for either.

No PJ is a core member of the Mavs, the Mavs wanna play big, that is their advantage on most nights. PJ and Cooper allow them to do that on their deals. Klay will be on his last year of his deal next yr and will more likely be relegated to the bench next yr if anything. Either way PJ will be closing games and playing alongside Cooper this year and will likely be the starters next year

I am expecting Dallas to experiment with jumbo line-ups, especially with Kyrie injured. Provide Cooper Flagg with some experience as a perimeter defender and primary ball-handler/facilitator.

I know everyone loves to trash Nico, but the team has been smart about staying under the 2nd apron. There's not 2 timelines. They're trying to win now, and they lucked out and drafted a guy who's ready to contribute now. If they don't win, they're able to pivot around Flagg and Lively.

I'm not sure Nico has the balls to trade AD after what happened and how it happened. Plus in order for Flagg to contribute now, he'll have to be more efficient and also better than rookie Wemby/Luka... And that's a very slim chance of happening.
Kyrie will also have to come back 100% at some point. Mavs have suddenly a deep team on small and big wing positions filled with veterans that will want playtime and apart from Kyrie, average at best guard rotation with no real playmaker.

Solid contract. The Mavs next season can be really **** with injuries to Davis, a rookie, and a bunch of frontcourt players, but if healthy, this team can be really good and interesting. Hopefully the Mavs roleplayers want to prove themself and show they can without Luka, and he did not make the finals all by himself.

That's 2 timelines. Go to around 35 for AD when Flagg is ready to contend. Would get more off the 2nd direction if Davis were traded now.

The Mavs are right up against the 2nd apron. If they have anyone hit an incentive, they'd likely go over. Next yr it looks like you're already around 216 for 11 players. Apron's projected to be 221. So we're going to see apron casualties at a pt in the next yr or two, when you're likely not contenders.
