Nasty that they had to do this for cupcakes like Kevin Durant. It disgusts me.

Jokic's 3P% is about to go through the roof.

This is a great move. Players should not be dinged personally for making the right basketball play.

LOL What?

Players didn't want to heave those shots over shooting percentages?

Can finally see LeBron or Luka getting the ball with 3 seconds left instead of Gabe Vincent or Dalton Knecht. Love it.

You must be new here. Players constantly avoiding taking those shots because they don't want it to affect their shooting %'s. It's usually the best players avoiding it too. Jokic is the only Star player that doesn't care, the rest avoid these heaves like the plague or take an extra dribble and intentionally fire up the shot after the buzzer so it doesn't count against their stats lol.

it's like grading policies in schools now- minimum F (50%). Next thing you know, they will allow retakes (you can take the shot over again if you miss!)

Now we don't have to see players get the ball with 2 seconds left, dribble and pretend like they couldn't get the shot off just to save their shooting percentages lol

If misses on heaves will now be recorded as a missed field-goal attempt for the team, not the player, then makes should be credited to the team, not the player, as well.

Nope. Been watching since the 90's. Just never realized players cared enough over that. Don't watch other teams religiously, so may of missed this by star players.

The good news is we can now track the CHANGE from last year and officially remove anyone with a massive increase in those heaves from any "best player" discussions. True winners only care about team success, not padding their stats. Without being a winner, you can't be in the conversation for the best.
