Chris Bosh getting sued by former assistant for "ignoring her sexual assault at basketball camp"

A California woman who worked as a personal assistant to former NBA star Chris Bosh is suing the Basketball Hall of Famer and his wife, claiming the two created a work environment so toxic, she now regularly suffers “debilitating panic attacks.”

For starters, Olga Kirpicheva, 34, says her interactions with Bosh’s wife, Adrienne, consisted largely of “yelling,” “screaming,” and “offensive language,” according to a wide-ranging employment discrimination lawsuit obtained by The Independent.

Kirpicheva’s complaint also accuses Bosh himself of failing to prevent a relative on the 11-time All Star’s payroll from continually propositioning her, telling her, among other things, that he was “horny” and “needed to get laid,” while grinding his crotch up against her.

Worse yet, Kirpicheva accuses the 41-year-old Bosh of purposefully looking the other way after a coach at his Indiana basketball camp allegedly talked his way into her hotel room and sexually assaulted her.

Where's the proof? What took her so long so come out? What's her background like?

I'm going to hope that there's a lawsuit on this coach too? Because otherwise...

The fact that she’s not going after the man that sexually assaulted her but instead thinks she should go after the man’s ultra wealthy relative tells me a lot.

I've never sued anyone, no matter how rich they are.

Technically that's not a fact. From the article:

Kirpicheva’s suit names Chris and Adrienne Bosh as defendants, in addition to Bosh Enterprises, their LLC, and up to 50 “John Does” to be named later.

So it's unknown whether the assaulter will be included or not. Obviously there's the question of who those 50 John Does may be and why there's so many of them.

That's wild...50 people? And yet one of the headlines was that Bosh's wife yelled at her?

Without knowing any of the actual facts there are a lot of red flags...

Filling a civil suit years after the event occurred
Not filing a criminal suit / report for the alleged assault
Filing the suit against the rich relative as opposed to the person who actually committed the assault
References being yelled at by Bosh's Wife in a suit about sexual assault.
"50 John Does to be named later" contributed to her suffering?

I prefer to give woman the benefit of the doubt when it comes to sexual assault, but this is a lot of red flags

I think the article said the assault incident happened in 2022. Is that really a very long time to pass before filing a lawsuit? Maybe the emotional trauma built up over time? Who knows why the plaintiff waited a couple of years but considering how some lawsuits happen decades after an incident I don't think this is that bad in regards to timing.

Wigginstime wrote:Not filing a criminal suit / report for the alleged assault

According to the article, the assaulter tried to get on top of the accuser and was pushed off and then ran away. Maybe the accuser just doesn't think she has a case in a criminal court. Pursuing a lawsuit in a civil court makes sense if that's the case.

Wigginstime wrote:Filing the suit against the rich relative as opposed to the person who actually committed the assault

More precisely she's going after her employer for having created a toxic situation and for ignoring the incident. Also we don't know if the alleged assaulter is or is not amongst the 50 other John Does included in the lawsuit.

Wigginstime wrote:References being yelled at by Bosh's Wife in a suit about sexual assault.

Once again going after her employer for creating a toxic work environment that allowed her to be harassed and mistreated.

I don't know what's going on there. Is she suing 50 other people employed by Bosh? This one does raise an eyebrow for me.

Women working for you is very tricky, I would only employ my wife.

Wait what? So this adult let a guy seduce her enough to invite him to her room. He took things too far against her wishes, but then blames Bosh? She probably shouldn’t have let the dude into her hotel room.

It sounds like she should be taking legal action, including criminal charges, against the man who sexually assaulted her.

Chris Bosh will likely settle this lawsuit just like Shannon Sharpe had to to avoid getting his name dragged through the mud.

Here's the actual description of what happened according to the article:

In August 2022, while on a trip with Bosh to his basketball camp in Indiana, one of the coaches there knocked on Kirpicheva’s hotel room door at 1:45 a.m. “under the pretext of returning rental car keys,” the complaint continues. When she opened the door, the coach, who is not identified by name in court filings, “pressed his way in and gained unauthorized access to the room,” forcing himself on Kirpicheva, according to the complaint.

It says she “struggled, pushed him off, and shouted,” after which the coach backed off and “fled from the hotel room.”

Nothing about being seduced to invite him into her room and him taking things too far against her wishes. That seems to be a narrative you made up.

We should send you on Bosh's behalf out to investigate all of this right away.

I don't even know what this board is coming to sometimes with the opinions people throw out there. Do women falsely accuse men of sexual related misconduct for money sometimes? Absolutely. Do men sexually assault women or cover up for other men doing it? Absolutely. This is why we have courts to figure out when an accuser is telling the truth or not. Maybe let that run its course without automatically assuming that every single woman who accuses some dude whether he's rich or famous or not of something like this is just making stuff up. Plenty of rich and famous dudes are absolutely doing shady **** that they deserve to pay for either with money or time in jail. The courts get to sort it all out.

This seems all the weirder. And Bosh was just outside the room at 1:45 and watched this? Just doesn't make any sense with how it's stated that he essentially let this happen....something that also it seems happened VERY quickly, less than 2-3 minutes based on that.

Yeah but normally the stories make sense when you read them when it's true. But when the bullet points include "his wife yelled at me" or "50 john does"...it's pretty natural to start thinking "WTF is this?".
