Well let's just say he's a good fit in Utah.

I mean he knows the league well and probably can do some good behind the scenes with his vet knowledge for youngsters.
I know he had a severe anxiety issue so he probably can help players experiencing that too.
Actually an ideal at the end of career vet pickup.

Tired trope. Likely used by folks that have little time spent anywhere but their current location and certainly not used by anyone that has spent time in Boston compared to other cities. Please give it a rest.

Jazz are probably going to have Love mentor Filipowski for a while, then they'll move him or waive him during the season.

Is it tired? Here are some receipts:
Green said that during the 2022 Finals at TD Garden, Celtics fans used racial slurs toward him, including the N-word. He said the atmosphere in some home games was worse than he’d ever experienced
https://www.nbcsportsboston.com/nba/boston-celtics/draymond-claims-celtics-fans-used-racial-slur-toward-him-in-finals/273279/?utm_source=chatgpt.comJames publicly said that Boston fans are “racist as f—” during an episode of The Shop. He described being subjected to racist behavior and also said his wife has experienced similar hostility in Boston.
https://www.thewrap.com/lebron-james-boston-celtics-fans-racist-video/?utm_source=chatgpt.comIrving expressed concern about “subtle racism” from Celtics fans when playing there after leaving the team.

https://www.boston.com/sports/boston-celtics/2021/05/27/marcus-smart-racist-comments-td-garden/?utm_source=chatgpt.comDuring a game versus the Golden State Warriors, DeMarcus Cousins reported that a fan used a racial slur toward him. The Celtics investigated. Although investigators could not conclusively verify the slur via video or interviews, they concluded the fan had verbally abused the Warriors bench. The fan (a minor) was banned from Celtics games for two years and placed under lifetime probation.

If this thread gets derailed into calling a fanbase racist, it will get locked. So lets just drop this from the conversation and proceed. No need to respond to this post, and everyone can keep talking about Love and the Jazz if they want. History or not, every fan base is a million different things, made up of millions of different people with different perspectives, and no one wants to be painted with the same brush!

I don't really see what purpose love serves for a team like this. If they were at least contenders that would be one thing. But they aren't anywhere close to being at that point.
Even if he does report to training camp, I don't see him lasting beyond it. I wouldn't be surprised if he got bought out and found his way to a contender that isn't in the second apron (so he can't go to Cleveland).

You need to be making above the NTMLE (not sure if it’s exact or just roughly that number) to be restricted from signing with over-the-2nd-apron teams.
But the Cavs picked up Thomas Bryant, who should have more in the tank than Love at this point in their careers, and the Cavs won’t carry 15 rostered players, so it’s hard to see the scenario where Love becomes a Cav again this year.

Kevin Love can be a great mentor, he won nba championship and was s star player, he has plenry experience to share with young players.

If Love cannot provide you much on the court, I wouldn't be keeping him around for what he offers off the court. He can be a giant baby, which he demonstrated in the post-Lebron era in Cleveland.

Yep, that's what you need on a young tanking team, more vet depth that won't be around.

Ehhhhh, that is not Love's strong suit. Very short temper and loves to pout and whine.
I like Love the player but he was an atrocious example of how to act during the rebuilding Cavs era.

It's weird how everyone assumes end-of-the-line vets are "good mentors."
Like westbrook is going to not want to take your court time? Like McCollum isn't going to be gunning for his next contract?
