I would love to see Butler win a ring and this Warriors team fits together nicely, but I’m worried they’re too old.

Was hoping he would sign with the Clippers just for them to get even older.

Lopez
Horford
Batum
Harden
Patty Mills all on the court at the same time would be funny

I don't see this retirement home of a team being a legit title contender this year, but there's going to be a 20-game stretch where these Warriors play some absolutely beautiful basketball.

A passing, shooting center who can hang out above the break fits into this offense hilariously well. For however many minutes he can play, he'll make life so much easier for Draymond and particularly Jimmy Butler, who can now attack inside against less help.

On defense... Jimmy/Dray/Al is so stupid.

If Al Horford had come to this team younger, it would have been absolutely unfair. Al is going to be 20 minutes a night but this will be fun.

Wow
Curry/Hield/Butler/Green/Horford, is that the oldest lineup all time, with normal positions for all?

They are, Draymond is the youngest of their star players and he will turn 36 this season.

Funny enough, the Clippers just set a record there.
The L.A. Clippers officially have the oldest team in NBA history (per Yahoo Sports). With an average age of 33.2 years old, the Clippers surpassed the 2000-2001 Utah Jazz for fielding the oldest team ever. And how did the 2000-2001 Jazz do? Average age was 32.6. Starting lineup average age of 33.4.

Hield would be their youngest player and he turns 33 in December so if that is their actual starting lineup for the season it´s an easy yes.

Yeah, anytime there's an extensive collection of really old talent, it's good to remember these teams. They're more likely to fall apart than they are to go on a deep run. 1999 Rockets. 2013 Lakers with Nash and injured Dwight joining an aging Kobe/Metta/Pau. 2011 Celtics with Shaq and Jermaine O'Neal trying to help old KG/Pierce/Allen. An even older KG and Pierce going to Brooklyn in 2014 to support the fading Joe Johnson, D.Will, Jason Terry, and even Andrei Kirilenko getting in on it.

I think older veterans can still be super dangerous, but you have to put them around a young up and comer who's doing all the heavy lifting, like how Tim Duncan and Manu could still be dangerous but Kawhi was doing the young man things. The Warriors hoped to find that in Kuminga, Poole, or Wiseman, but easier said than done.

Didnt they ditch Klay's resigning because they thought he was getting up there in age? This is a moderate slap in the face to Klay, but he has Megan thee stallion so he's actually winning in new "pastures"...
