He looks in the best shape of his career to start the season. I have been critical of Murray always coming into the season out of shape. But he looks amazing so far. Getting great separation, playing defense at great level, his movement is crisper. I expect the best season of his career this year.

The Nuggets would appreciate Jamal coming to work in the best shape possible and ready to be an All-Star since they're paying him roughly $50m. Whoever paid this man $50m per season is out of their mind but that's the case for all of the players that are paid that much without deserving it. The Nuggets have wasted so much of their payroll on players (MPJ) that aren't worth their contracts.

He's an all star in our hearts

Luka Doncic, Steph Curry, Ant Edwards, SGA will all be All Stars in the WC. Then there's Booker, Butler, Ja, maybe Fox, etc. Not a lot of space here. Maybe though.

Is the heat pack throwing all-star game happening this year? I thought that league got overtaken by the bean bag league.

If he plays his absolute best he will be injured and a replacement will be selected to take his place at the all star game.

I hope he has a great season but I'm having a hard time getting excited about a dude who finally decided to come to work in shape in year 9 of his career.

So the rule is 3 teams, 2 American and 1 international. There are 24 all-stars, and 12 will come from the West. 12 divided by 3 is 4, so the West can only have 4 international players. Jokic, SGA, Luka, and Wemby will make the team.

Even against American players, Ant, Curry, Lebron, Anthony Davis, and Durant should all make the team if healthy.

That leaves 3 more spots for Booker, Butler, Ja, Fox, Zion, Randle, Gobert, Kawhi, Harden, Flagg, Green, Jalen Williams, Chet, Sabonis, Lavine, JJJ, and Murray.

Is Murray really going to get the vote over 14 of those guys? And then how would they balance the international team? Only let the East get 3 international players, when the East has Giannis, Siakam, Embiid?, and KAT?

He has a chance - especially if they bring extra international players. There just aren't as many star international guards at the moment.

But if they don't and just vote straight then split, it will be tough just because of competition. He was 15th in the fan voting last year in Western Conference backcourt players alone. He was literally below Dort in the voting.

So if we assume that SGA, Doncic, Ant and Curry will be above him, that only leaves one space for him if there are 5 backcourt players like last year. 2 if there are six. And he's fighting for those with Booker, Harden, Ja, Amen Thompson.

But if it's international, you still have Luka and SGA as the starters. Then Murray would be the obvious next choice (especially as Kyrie is out, so they can't even pull the "He's Australian" card to get an extra international guard).
