Bronny is a waste of a roster spot

I know we all know this but it's even more apparent in preseason play that this guy doesn't belong on an NBA roster. This isn't the first case of nepotism in the league and certainly won't be the last but for the Lakers they really need to free this roster spot up. They have nothing to lose at this point. I've seen no real growth in his game and he wasn't good to begin with. You could say this about other guys in the league too, and we know the NBA isn't about picking the best 450 guys that can play, this is just one of the more egregious cases simply because of nepotism.

i dont see the purpose of waiving him. who do you think they are going to fill the roster spot with that provides more value than adding to lebrons legacy. I can look at 20 other rosters and nitpick what reasons people have for players being on the floor other than their on-court production. This really doesnt matter.
if he ends up being a rotation player, its a miracle. if not, is this really altering the lakers as an organization?

It’s true but as you sort of explained yourself, it really doesn’t matter.

He should be on a two-way contract, not the fully guaranteed four-year deal they signed him to. I think anyone with any sense knows that he wouldn't have gotten that deal if he wasn't LeBron's son. That's the only real issue I see with him.
Regardless of the LeBron impact, he would've still gotten some looks as a two-way guy. I still think he has the tools to become an NBA player, but it's obviously a work in progress.

because bronny is the nba version of jaden smith. the diff is SUPPOSEDLY that sports is a bottom line profession.
i would say from a culture pov, the lakers are faced with a zeitgeist that runs counter to their "superstar first" model
taking care of your players doesn't have to mean having to cowtow to an aged star. before they can defer to a superstar. they have to get'em first,,,and btw, luka literally fell into their lap. it's not like they won him over

Browny generated $50 million in revenue through jersey sales.
And, as others have said, there's no need for the Lakers to free up a spot for Greg Oden or whoever they had in mind.

He's not from a business perspective. He generates more $$$ than all the other 15th men combined.
He gets more talk about him on realgm and the other socials than some borderline all stars.
And if his own dad is ok with pimping him out like this for the $$$, who are we to judge

Suggestion: Use the 15th spot to try out long shot fits at positions of need; dumping them and moving onto the next if they don't work out. At least that way you are trying to improve your team.
Bronny really doesn't ever warrant NBA consideration based on merit and despite that he's had plenty of opportunities to show he can be productive. And he hasn't been. Ever.
Stop holding onto a hopeless expired losing lotto ticket for sentimental reasons and use that wallet space for a new one.

I'm pretty sure after Lebron leaves this upcoming summer, Bronny will be waived.

I nominate Karate Diop as Bronny's replacement.
All in favor say Aye.

I'd say that the only real harm in keeping him, is if LeBron kind of demands that he gets more playing time than he should. Having him at the end of your roster isn't really a big deal (most end of the bench guys usually only play in blow-outs, or games that don't matter). However if Daddy demands that Jr. gets quality play time (during important situations), then that might be a problem, especially if his lack of ability hurts the teams' chance to win.

Mark Walter's impact is already showing.
He should send Bronny to the G League for the 26-27 season since his salary is guaranteed. Team option 27-28
