Noa Dalzell's got a fun article about the experience:
I lost to Joe Mazzulla and the Celtics coaches by 53 points — and it was the time of my life
How Joe Mazzulla and the Celtics coaches destroyed the media
It’s hard to even describe what went down in the game. To describe it as a disaster for us reporters would be an understatement. The sheer gap in athleticism — speed, size, instincts, you name it — felt so insurmountable that I can hardly pinpoint what even went down. I’d love to take a look at a box score, but the amount of live-ball turnovers we accrued would probably make me sick.
What I do know for certain is that the Celtics media conglomerate was so thoroughly outplayed that just getting the ball past halfcourt felt like a victory.
A rebound (I got one!) felt like a touchdown.
Hitting the rim on a shot attempt? Practically a cause for celebration.
It felt like the coaches rarely missed, but special shoutout to player development coach God Shammgod Jr, who was absolutely lights out.
The game served as an (unneeded) reminder of the ridiculous disparity between us regular people and elite athletes. (Believe it or not, there were multiple former college basketball players among us.)
All the while, Celtics stars watched from up above, a grin plastered across Jaylen Brown’s face as the game progressed. Celtics center Luke Garza hardly looked away from the demolition taking place on the parquet.
“Anyone want to do media?” Brown belted down at the reporters after the final buzzer sounded. (I will note, Brown did cheer on the media throughout the scrimmage. Thank you, Jaylen.)
There's a couple of short video clips in the article.

I think that's pretty darn awesome. Wish the media for more teams would try doing this.

You're not mistaken. The Magic have Shammgod Sr. on their staff, the Celtics have Jr.

Lots of people would get cooked, but this was a roster that would get cooked even more. He says they had some former college players, I'm looking at the players they are showing, and it's like, well...maybe some much older guys or some of the girls, but they are like 5'3, so they aren't going to help you unless they are WNBA level (which they aren't).
It's always a fun experience for people to get a true understanding of the levels of these things though

Windhorst would have died if he had to run full court.

They should allow RealGM to create a team to play NBA coaches. I think we stand a pretty good chance. I don't think I'm telling any tales out of school here when I'm saying that we've long suspected that there's a couple of ex-nba players that post regularly on this board. Like has anyone ever seen OKCSinceSGA and Pooh Richardson together in the same room? Just saying.

Brian Scalabrine (the White Mamba) is part of the Boston Media, wonder why he didn't play for them. Would have at least given the media some more respect out there.

I mean, so would I, so no judge. When I was still in highschool, we did not have organized sports here, during gym class we would play half court basketball without keeping the score and that was it, but few times we played full court, and me being super skinny at the time, not smoking, and being 16 years old, running back and forth full court was still pretty hard to do. I bet I could have gotten used to if I did it more often, cause I could run for hours back then, but I am just saying, full court basketball is not easy, Hats off to everyone who does it.

I like Scalabrine on the telecast and all, but behind the scenes most accounts are that hes a bit of a diva. He would find playing alongside members of the media as below him, which it isnt. Eddie House is part of the Celtic media as well, those 2 could have at least gave the coaches a little competition.

It's worth calling into The Starting Lineup and asking him on the air, that's a fun enough question that I bet the producers would clear that one.
Hell of a troll job for Coach Joe for doing this.

It was originally supposed to be a media vs media game, maybe he didn't want to make it unfair for the team he would be on.

Well, nothing requiring stamina is easy if you're not in shape and don't play the sport.
I will say of all the ones I do / have done, indoor soccer is killer! When we had that during the outdoor soccer off-season, it was more physically taxing than outdoor, because the playing area is so small, so you don't get rest.

First thing I thought. There is no way Scal played and they only had 4 points and lost by 53.
